it was the first winery tour for me and my friend. our guide was a very nice German lady who knew the history and interesting facts about California wineries. Our group was an eclectic mix of people from different parts of the world taking a day off from business meetings. highly recommended!
was a funtastic tour everything perfect and our tour operator really nice.
l´ll recommend this tour especilly because is a small group.
The pick up time at the hotel was a little late. And it was raining cats and dogs. The small van was not "luxury" by any definition. After that things picked up considerably. Including the weather. The sun was shining by the time we got to our first destination.
Our driver/guide Peter was very knowledgeable about San Francisco and both Sonoma and Napa. The wineries we visited were excellent. And the tastings were neither rushed, nor limited. Wish there was more time to see more.
The drive out, over the Golden Gate contrasted well with the drive back, over the Bay Bridge. Twice the scenery for the same price.
Our group was quite small (8 people, a maximum of 13) and each person was a delight. On our tour the Wineries were set up for us (Cline and Viansa) and as the wine flowed we all got to know each other better. At Domaine Chandon we were joined by another group (7 lovely young woman out on a staggette) but the more the merrier.
Lunch in Sonoma was good for some, less so for others. More a function of what you ordered, and your personal tastes. My wife is still looking for the avocado that was supposed to be on her sandwich. She must have bit right past it.
I would heartily recommend this tour if you are in the area.
Our tour guide Cynthia was great! She made everyone feel at ease and comfortable with each other.
The tour itself was fantastic. We were taken to 2 Sonoma wineries and one in Napa. At lunch time we had a very delicious Lunch at a restaurant in Sonoma and still had time to check out the town.
We really enjoyed the trip and the wine tour. The three places we visited were very nice and beautiful. The weather was awesome so it made it even more pleasurable. Our quide tour was very pleasant and she took the time to stop at the Golden Gate Bridge on our trip back. She mentioned the fact that particular day the bridge was so clear to see. We definitely recommend it and would do it again. Thank you very much.
We very much enjoyed this tour. We loved the small group and the tour guide was just right. He gave us a lot of information but didn't overwhelm us.
contact with the tour operator before the tour was quick and easy, we were picked up from the hotel, slightly later than expected, but we got underway straight away. Our driver Geordie was a very pleasant, knowledgeable chap with plenty of facts figures and local info to hand. There were little bonuses like the drive through Pacific heights all with the aim of keeping the group entertained. The wineries we visited were all good in beautiful settings. Have to mention Jeffrey at Domain Chandon who was especially friendly and informative.
We enjoyed the whole day, transport was to high standard, everyone was welcoming, and we would certainly recommend this trip to others visiting the area.
The tour to Napa and Sonoma was wonderful. We started out at Larson Family Winery where you'll not only enjoy the scenery and tastings, but also get greeted by the resident pooches. Next was Viansa Winery which is like being in an Italia villa. Sooo pretty. Definitely great photo opportunities. Then we had lunch in Sonoma and headed to Napa for the finale at Domaine Chandon. This is where you get a tour of the champagne-making process with tastings of course. The grounds are also beautiful. Bring your camera. Plus, our van chauffeur was a hoot, providing little tid bits of trivia along the way. All in all, a great value and experience.
Wonderful experience on this small group tour. The driver was friendly and informative, the group was a lot of fun. People from all over the country and the world. Visited two Sonoma wineries, had lunch in Sonoma and ended at the Chandon champaigne winery. Very nice day.
Fantastic.... plenty of great information that my wife and I never realized. We would highly recommend this tour.
