Loved, loved, loved this tour! I would take it again in a heartbeat. If you have limited time, take this tour of SanFrancisco! Great tour guide and hospitality, fantastic views and commentary. Granola bars, water, soda provided. Lunch from Boudin's bakery delicious!! Thank you.
We met the motorized cable car in Union Square at 7.30am. The driver, Arturo, met us with blankets (was chilly), cereal bars, drinks and a big smile! We were driven to the ferry port to catch the 8.45am ferry to Alcatraz. Would highly recommend being early as not very busy and certainly not rushed. The headsets provided at the beginning of the tour added real atmosphere (as narrated by ex cons, guards and sound effects!) and you can go at your own pace as you can pause, rewind the narration. Look for the welcome guard as you disembark the ferry - he was a real character! We caught the 11am ferry back and was met by Arturo. Next was the Bodin Sour Dough factory for a brief tour of the famous factory and luch was provided by them - fab sandwich, crisps and cookie. We then did a tour of San Francisco, narrated all the way by Arturo, taking in lots of sights including crossing the Golden Gate bridge twice with lots of opportunities to take photos (and toilet breaks). Arturo was very keen to ensure we had lots of photos and often taking them for us just to be sure! This trip was great value for money and made even better by our driver and guide. Well done Viator another successful trip with you. Thank you.
Awesome tour. Our guide Arturo was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable. The tour gave you a great view of the city ad Alcatraz. Just Wonderful
We were picked up on time at Union square by an electric tram, our guide and driver ARTURO was friendly, professional, very informative, and made our day very enjoyable. We went on the 9oclock ferry to Alcatraz, they have a buggy that takes you up a very steep incline if you have walking difficulties. You are given earpieces and you walk around at your leisure . Back on our tour tram we went to see a bakery for a short tour, then sightseeing around San Francisco , over the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped underneath it on the way back. Got some lovely photos. Lunch was included plus a breakfast bar and cold drinks. Extremely enjoyable way to see all around San Francisco
Arturo was well informed and very attentive, Alcatraz was excellent....maybe a little more time needed. The tour of the city was great got some awesome photos. The lunch from Boudin bakery was delicious.
Excellent tour Alcatraz was fascinating and the cable car bus was great.
This was a great experience!! Our tour guide was amazing! Highly recommend!!
Great tour to do Alcatraz without too many crowds early in the morning. Cable Car sightseeing was great also. We got to see many different parts of San Francisco that we didn't see on our earlier city tour. Good to have a local guide who knew the area and went out of his way to take photos of us both at all the photo stops. Thank you for a job well done.
Well organized. Could have had longer at Alcatraz though. City tour afterwards was good. Driver Geoff was excellent with his comments , punctual, friendly and helpful.
We took your tour on November 27th and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide Alex was exceptional. He took incredible care of all of his passengers and gave us wonderful information. I thought this was a comfortable, enjoyable way to experience some of the fantastic sights and history of San Francisco. The six hours flew by. I appreciate the value for the money spent!
My family really enjoyed the tour. We got to see a lot of the city and hit all of the major areas of the interest. The Alcatraz portion was well run and very informative. The snacks and lunch were very good too! Our guide was very positive and told us a lot of information along the way. I would highly recommend the tour to families with children that want to get a lot of touring accomplished without going through the hassle of arranging your own transportation and hauling stuff around.
This was amazing, the driver (forgot his name) was very accommodating with our questions and also his knowledge of the area brilliant (he was born and raised in San Francisco).
Alcatraz is well worth a visit and by going on this tour you get the audio tour. A really good tour to take.
