What You Can Expect

Viator VIP: Napa by Helicopter with Wine Tasting and Lunch

Drink in the beauty of wine country on the veranda at Jamieson Ranch

Instead of wasting time in the car driving from winery to winery, kick back and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at one of Napa's best wineries, Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, where you'll be treated to a private wine tasting and guided tour, followed by free time to soak up the views and sip more wine at your leisure. This luxury VIP wine country experience includes a helicopter tour of San Francisco and Napa; depending on which itinerary you choose, you’ll drive or fly to Napa, and do the opposite on the way back to San Francisco.

Itinerary

Morning Departure
For this departure option, you will be driven to Napa and will return to San Francisco via helicopter. After pickup from one of the central San Francisco locations at 10:30am, relax on a scenic drive to Napa aboard a spacious minivan. Drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and savor the last sweeping vista of San Francisco Bay as you travel north to wine country.

Arrive at Jamieson Ranch, the southernmost winery in Napa Valley. You’ll be amazed by the estate’s more than 300 acres (121 hectares) of gently rolling hills and terraced vineyards. Start your visit with a guided tour of the cozy yet sophisticated winery, reminiscent of a Western mountain lodge with high ceilings and seating around a fireplace.

Enjoy an exclusive wine-tasting session at a private 6-person table in a quiet, shady spot outside. Sample three or four wines -- Jamieson Ranch and their additional brand, Reata, specialize in exceptional cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir and chardonnay -- and pair your tastings with gourmet food prepared by estate chef Brian Overhauser. Savor tapas-style bites such as parmesan and pesto croquettes, salmon with Napa cabbage and mango salsa, and fig brûlée with Point Reyes blue cheese and honey-roasted walnuts. Throughout your tasting, your wine expert will teach you about the wine and answer any questions you have.

After your hosted visit, tour the observation gallery overlooking the barrel room and production area, and step onto the spectacular wraparound veranda for sweeping views of Napa Valley and San Pablo Bay. You'll have about an hour of additional free time to relax and luxuriate in the lush scenery, join in a chocolate tasting or purchase any wines you like.

In the afternoon, head to the Napa County Airport to board a state-of-the-art helicopter. Take to the skies and soar over Napa’s gorgeous vineyards, giving you incredible panoramas from a completely new vantage point. Fly over the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz on your helicopter tour of San Francisco, and then land for drop-off at the Nob Hill, Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf locations.

Afternoon Departure
For this departure option, you will take a helicopter flight to Napa and will return to San Francisco via minivan. After pickup from your selected San Francisco location at 1pm, you'll be driven over the Golden Gate Bridge to the charming town of Sausalito to board your helicopter. Your afternoon experience begins with a breathtaking helicopter tour over San Francisco Bay before heading north to wine country.

When you land at the Napa airport, you'll be treated like a VIP as you're ushered through a private terminal and whisked away to Jamieson Ranch, located about 5 minutes away from the heliport. Enjoy a tour of the winery grounds and a private wine-tasting session; this experience is identical to the morning tour.

At 4pm, hop in a minivan and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco, arriving at your chosen drop-off location around 5:30pm.
