This trip is worthwhile BUT it can make such a difference if you have the right tour guide. We had someone called Helmut (think that is spelt right), we gave him a different name by the end of it! He was very slow at driving and one of the biggest problems was waiting for people to turn up. If people are not there in time then tough because you spend so much time on the road so the longer you wait for them the less time you get in the park, which is the whole point of the trip! If you can stay overnight then do so as it is definetly worth it. We only spent 2hrs 45mins in the park when you really need 4hrs which gives you enough time to take in the fantastic scenery. Nearly an hour was wasted dropping people off at different locations/hotels, it should be one pick up place and one drop off place! We are still glad that we went but like someone else said in their review, it would have been nicer to see the waterfalls as everything was dry when we went in September.5 out of 5 for the park but 3 out of 5 for the whole trip because the travelling was soooo long.

Our guide was somewhat hard to understand and I felt like it was difficult and not safe for him to drive and speak about the tour at the same time. Prefer having seperate driver and guide. We wished we had stayed overnight to allow more time at Yosemite as it is alot of driving time to spend 3 hours at Yosemite.

Very long tour. We got picked up at our hotel at 6:15am and got back at 9:30pm. We only have 3.5 hours in the actual park. I felt we took too man stops getting to the actual park. We stopped at two different stores on the way there and 1 on the way back. I believe going through China Camp was useless. It seemed liked it took way to far to get back (5 hours I think) when it should have only taken 3. If there weren't so many stops and detours I believe more time could be given in the park. I barely had any time in the park waiting on the trolley and getting oriented in the park. Our guide knew a TON of information, but after 15 hours I was tired of his information and input.

Yosemite is amazing and not to be missed but, we were disappointed with our driver. He was pleasant and friendly but, after reading so many reviews about how fun and entertaining and knowledgeable most of the drivers were, we were less than impressed. I felt like we could have rented a car and learned just as much about the area on our own.

We should have set off at 7am but because of late arrivals and 3 emergency windows, on the bus, being open and having to be closed (with difficulty), we actually departed at around 8am and arrived about 5 hours later. Must admit, didn't realise that the journey would be so long and we finished up with only about 135 minutes in the park, which included time for a rushed lunch. The following day we were waiting to catch the cable car in San Francisco and noticed in a travel agents window that they offered a different day trip to Yellowstone that included 5 hours in the park (after our visit don't know how this is possible) and was 5 star rated by Viator. As far as I can recall this particular tour was not offered by Viator at the time of my booking. The one that we took was no where near a 5 star rating. I would not recommend anyone going on a one day trip to Yellowstone by bus from San Francisco as it doesn't give enough time there for the amount of traveling time involved!

I'm glad I went to Yosemite, and this tour got me there and back safely. But we got going an hour later than scheduled, and the driver offered no explanation. He said very little during the drive or while in Yosemite, and wasn't sure of the answers to many of our questions. We also weren't allowed to stop for food on the way back, and were not given any notice about this. A rather bizarre tour, but a beautiful spot!

While I think Yosemite is absolutely beautiful and worth seeing, we were very unfortunate to end up with a bad tour guide on this tour. He told us right off the bat that he was not experienced with this route and he was not going to narrate to us. He basically ended up being a taxi driver more than a tour guide. Huge disappointment for a once in a lifetime experience ... since we learned nothing about the areas we were actually going though! We also had barely 3 hrs to explore the place, which is very little time to really take in the valley. If you have to end up with a similar tour guide, you are better off driving there yourself!
