Great trip, great tour guide. We were unfortunate that the sequoia grove was closed that day - end of April to end of May could be a great time for this trip. I've heard that summer months can be a tourist nightmare in Yosemite.

Yosemite was stunning, but the driver was a little flaky.

Enjoyed it - great trip, just sorry that giant sequoias section had to be cancelled due to deep snow in the area.

The tour was fun but a little bit rushed. Our guide was excellent. If you want to see Yosemite in a day, this works. The only real negative, I was waiting on a street corner for 30 minutes because they did not pick me up on time. It was cold and I was very uncomfortable standing around on a San Francisco street corner for half an hour.

Was really a good tour. There is a large mountain to climb down--that's fine--it's the getting back up after seeing the trees that was really hard for me. However, it was a well structured tour, and our guide was very knowledgeable.

Yosemite is a must if visiting San Fran. My recommendation is to take at least a two day tour which will give you time to actually hike around the area. The full day hike up to Half Dome looks great.

There are few attractions. Two main mountains to climb, Half Dome and El Capitan. During September, the rivers and the waterfalls are almost dried up. Maybe if you came during the rainy season or right after, then the landscape would be more green and more water flowing though the rivers and waterfalls.

Yosemite was brilliant and the driver gave an interesting commentary. The visit to the giant sequoias was also good. The only problem was the mile walk to see them and the steep walk back uphill. The driver said we had 20 minutes to get there and 36 minutes to get back. This put off some of the elderly people with health problems, including my wife who has asthma. I do feel that we should have been warned about this as part of the information prior to the trip. It was a shame that the time limit prevented some from seeing the trees.

I should have gone with the bus. The ride in the minivan is not good. The guide was great. There is time to take a short hike.

Driver was on time at the hotel where we had the appointment. He introduced everybody to everybody and told us interesting things during the trip. There were 13 persons on board from 7 different nations, which was very nice. We saw beautiful panoramas in Yosemite and also the giant sequoias were king-size. It was fantastic! It was a day in a very good atmosphere which I will never forget.

This experience is well worth the long drive from San Francisco. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the Giant Sequoias as there was too much snow, but that did leave us more time to explore Yosemite on a beautiful spring day.

I would have liked to spend a little more time at Yosemite.

So what the minivan tour actually is is that you are sitting in a minivan and you have narration by a kind driver and you stop at scenic places and take pictures. Then you get 1 hour for lunch and 1 hour for shopping in Yosemite Village. That is basically it. The scenes are amazing though. The good things: intensive day, a lot to see, beautiful views. Bad things: if you sit in the back of the minivan it is going to be a bumpy ride and it is not all that easy to hear what the narrator is saying since the van we were in didn't have speakers in the back. Like some other people mentioned it is hard to get some rest in the van, even though there is plenty of time to do that. If you are going in the wintertime, check first if the giant sequoias road is open, it wasn't for us and it was the main reason we went.
