The tour was amazing ! And the tour guide was awesome. He really knew his history and was very entertaining.
This tour was beyond amazing and beyond my expectations. I loved it
Everything about the trip was great - Javier, our guide, was knowledgable, professional, helpful, and sensitive to the needs of our group of 11. Booking was smooth, pick up was on time. We got a great taste of both the area beyond San Juan and the El Yunque rain forest. Thank you to Javier! Highly recommended!
We had such a wonderful time wandering through the rainforest with Tony. Somehow, we always happened to be 5minutes ahead of the big tour bus crowds, so our little group of 7 got un-cluttered photos among the trees.
We thought the hiking part was rather easy and light, until we woke up the next day with aching quads! It was a nice souvenir from the day :
Our tour guide was Tony Caliz and this man is so much fun! He's very knowledgeable and courteous as well as friendly and charming. We had an absolute blast and would definitely do it again and recommend to anyone going to the San Juan area!
The tour guide was very informative and friendly. The entire trip was beautiful
The half day rain forest tour was wonderful! Merrari was an excellent tour guide and driver!. We learned a tremendous amount about the area, and since she was born in Puerto Rico she had a wealth of knowledge of the area. We would recommend this tour highly!
Tony was awesome! He had great knowledge and kept everyone engaged. He picked us up promptly and had water for a few people who forgot to bring some. We walked at slow pace due to members in our group but Tony kept it light and moving the best he could.
My only comment would be we thought we were walking to the waterfalls and we did not.He only does that 2 days a week. We were not told this until we asked. Others on the tour felt the same disappointment!
This tour was GREAT....the tour guide was informative and fun. It was a beautiful day that I will remember forever. I would recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in seeing the beauty that is EL YUNGUE!!!
We had a fantastic trip to the El Yunque Rainforest. This was not our first trip, but definitely the best!
It was the best excursion EVER! We enjoyed it VERY MUCH! Ricky was our tour guide and he was AWESOME. Everything was perfect! I give it a 10! 5 stars. We loved Ricky!
Enjoyed the trip to the rainforest. Great guide, she made it a lot of fun for all of us.
This is a great tour with lots of good information. However, I am very active and I like to do things myself and probably would've enjoyed El Yunque a bit more if I had more time to hike around and explore.
My granddaughter and I enjoyed the trip very much. Ricky , our guide, was knowledgeable and simpático friendly . I recommend this trip to everyone.
This excursion was the best of our whole trip. Javier, our guide, was excellent and very knowledgeable of San Juan history and horticulture. The scenery was breath taking. We took the driving tour as my husband has walking issues. There were parts that involved walking, but he waited in the vehicle.
Excellent tour! We had a great tour guide. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing the Rainforest.
Tony is the best! Very funny, good conversation but not TOO talkative. Knows his home for sure. Loved it!
This is a very good tour of a beautiful part of Puerto Rico. The Rainforest is only about half an hour's drive from San Juan, but is a whole different world. Lushly green and wild, it is beautiful to walk through. The tour we took had an excellent and friendly guide, who not only knew the area but, as a native, told us quite a bit about the island.
Our first stop was the very modern visitor center, which was quite informative. The National Forest Service this is not a National Park had good exhibits set up explaining the basic ecology of the region.
The second place we visited was a hidden series of waterfalls. They are hidden in that it was a fairly steep climb through dirt and rocks to reach their upper levels. If you had a bathing suit you could even swim in the highest one's pool. Everyone in our group--ages 7 to 65 that was my wife and I did it, but to fully see the system you have to be able to walk over some very uneven ground.
Next we went to an observation tower--easy steps this time, only 98 to the top, and the view to the ocean was great. The final destination was a very wide waterfall that you can see from the highway. Most people admired it from the road, but some me included climbed the rocks by the side and walked out on the big stone ledge halfway up. It was quite a view from there.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to get a sense of the natural Puerto Rico that is away from the beaches and hotels. It takes a little effort, but the landscape is spectacular and the trip very well run.
