Our guide was wonderful! My only disappointment was that the tour of Bacardi wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be and that was no fault of the guide. San Cristobal was gorgeous and I would love to go again. We didn't get a real chance to see "old" San Juan so I'll just have to come back and experience that and more.

I was under the impression that the rum distillery would show us the actual process they went through to make the rum and that we would get to go inside the plant. Neither of these things happened. It was only about a half hour tour, including a video and a ten minute stop at the gift shop. Old San Juan wasn't much better. Our tour guide dropped us off at one end of the street and gave us forty five minutes to look through the shops which had no air conditioning in July. El Morro was full of sweaty people, but had a beautiful view. I would not recommend this specific tour.

Do not bother with this tour. After being notified that we had to take a 12 cab ride to start the tour, we then spent most of the afternoon at the Rum Distillery, which is a free tour, and then we were dropped off in San Juan and told to meet the bus at the other end of town with almost no instruction on how to get there. There was essentially no information given give to us by the tour guide who in reality was nothing more than a bus driver who spoken very broken English. For the 40 each that we spent plus the cab fare we could have taken the ferry to the Distillery for the free tour and hired a guide for a walking tour of San Juan and still had money left over and had a great tour to boot.

The tour starts at the distillery and too much time is spent there. Never made it to the fort, which was the most interesting part of the tour.
