The crew was great, the water was lovely, and the experience was wonderful. I was a little disappointed with the number of people at the first snorkel location; however, the second location was much nicer. Lunch was delicious, and the crew was very helpful for first time snorkelers. Make sure you take plenty of sunscreen as the boat is only half covered.

It would be nice if the the Ceviche wasn't made in front of the tourist. Seen sea life being killed wasn't pleasant. Also just make sure the knives and the cutting boards used for the fish, meats and fruits are all different.

Great captain and crew! It was a fun trip that would've been perfect if I hadn't gotten a sunburn. Save your pictures for the 2nd snorkeling spot. It's much bigger and has better reefs and fish!

The trip itself was fantastic! A great crew, good food, and the drinks flowed freely and endlessly! The catamaran was in good condition, not a ragged vessel that you sometimes find. The crew gave instructions to first timers and let the experienced snorkelers go ahead. If you are a first timer, or haven't snorkeled on a reef in a while, definitely take the crew up on the free lesson. We saw many people killing the reef by touching it and standing on it. This makes environmentalists, and me, and the crew VERY ANGRY, so don't do it!! Learn to snorkel before putting the reef at risk of dying! Anyway...we were allowed to feed the fish bread, and they ate it right from our hands! That was probably the most amazing part of all of it. The water was a bit cloudy due to warm winds blowing in, but still a great experience. My only complaint is that the driver who picked us up from our hotel said he was with the tour operator, which was true. He also said he would take us to Farjardo to board the Barefoot, which was false. He didn't speak enough English to understand what I was saying. I showed him by printed confirmation, but he didn't look at it and just told us to get on. After picking up more people at 3 more hotels, the bus was full and he finally figured out that he picked us up incorrectly. He dropped us off at a different hotel where the correct bus finally picked us up 20 minutes later. A VERY frustrating morning for us gringos! I don't know what advice to give someone else who is booking this excursion, except learn enough Spanish to make sure the driver understands what your booking includes.

My wife and I boarded the boat after being received from our hotel in Condado in a van. On reaching Fajardo we boarded and a 40 minute ride got us to Icacos. The waters were clear and the sand was great. The next stop away from the shore was even better and had a great time snorkelling and watch the fish go after bread crumbs. Carry a lot of sunscreen. Sun might not seem that harsh but trust me you need it.

Overall, we had an excellent time on this trip. We were picked up promptly at our hotel. The crew was very friendly, and the alcohol flowed freely. The private beach was nice, though it was way too shallow, at least when we were there, for safe snorkeling over the mostly dead coral reef. The second snorkeling stop, in deeper water, was much better and had lots of beautiful sea life. I would recommend this trip for adults only. It is a nice diversion from your standard tourist activities.

This trip was great. It was a nice boat, and a pretty good picnic lunch. The guides were awesome and knew a lot about the area. Also, the Getaway Cocktails were great!

Fun day, good drinks and delicious food. Snorkelling was fun but not fantastic. Icacos island is very pretty. Would do it again!

This was a great day on the water with excellent guides. It was perhaps not the ideal setting for a non-swimmer, but for a taste of Puerto Rico, it was ideal.

There was too much drinking on the boat and some people were obnoxious. I don't like paying for others drinks. Maybe a small fee for those who want to consume alcohol.

The boat ride was great, but the waves did not permit us to visit the coral reef. The trip would have been awesome if we had been able to see them. The lunch, alcohol, and staff were all excellent. Make sure you call before meeting the van to make sure you are definitely going to the reef. If I had to do it again, I would have used the money to book a flight to St. John's for the day instead.
