What You Can Expect

Santorini Sunset Dinner Cruise Including Nea Kameni Visit

Enjoy a Greek dinner as the sun sets over Santorini!

Select a morning or sunset cruise when you book. Then, on the day, depart your Santorini hotel by air-conditioned minivan and travel to the jetty for your 5-hour cruise.

Meet your friendly, professional skipper and crew, and find a comfortable spot on the gleaming catamaran. Then, sit back and admire Santorini’s caldera and sugar-cube, clifftop houses as your vessel pulls away from dock.

Relax, enjoy the sea spray and take snaps of the unfolding views as your catamaran cuts through the waves of the Aegean Sea. While you cruise, enjoy the unlimited sodas, wine, ouzo (anise-infused liquor) and coffee available from the onboard bar.

After roughly 30 minutes, drop anchor at the hot springs beside Nea Kameni, Santorini’s ancient volcano. Step ashore and immerse yourself in the invitingly warm pools, whose waters are thought to have therapeutic benefits.

Next, sail to the shores of south Santorini, known for their beautiful volcanic-sand beaches. Head for the White Beach, and, if you wish, leave the boat to swim in the crystal waters. If you fancy checking out the undersea life, use the supplied snorkeling equipment to set off in search of colorful fish and other underwater sights.

Afterward, hop back on deck for a delicious barbecue lunch or dinner, depending on the cruise time you’ve chosen. Dig into goodies such as grilled chicken, juicy pork chops, salads, fresh breads and more.

Following your meal, enjoy more time to relax, swim or snorkel at nearby Red Beach before making your return cruise. If you’ve chosen the sunset cruise, soak up the sight of one of Santorini’s magical sunsets. Snap pictures or just enjoy the full force of the moment as the sun sinks below the horizon in a blaze of orange, gold and pink.

Lastly, dock back at the jetty and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.

My husband and I had a great time on this tour.

Climbing Nea Kameni was hard work in the sun but the cruise, the swim, the dinner and the sunset views were awesome.

We would highly recommend this.

This tour was amazing! You depart on a boat to the volcanic island and trek to the top (30 min hike). You then depart to another island where you swim to an inlet where there is a thermal spring. Red muddy water which stain so wear dark bathers. Then dinner on the boat and sunset views!!

The sailing was phenomenal on a perfect day. The crew was friendly, super helpful and fun. We even had a dance party at sunset and learned traditional Greek men and women dances! I couldn't recommend this trip more! Hiking at Nea Kameni was breathtaking!

Very beautiful tour. Missed the tour bus at the pick up point but Viator contact point in Athens was quick to remedy the problem. There is no wine tasting but there is free flow wine and buffet. Guided tour at volcano spot, Nea Kameni was excellent. Highly recommended.

Cruise was excellent but van be booked directly from old port. The communication about pick up location was poor. I was told opposite the hospital and not knowing the area, the local bus station is opposite the hospital, we ended up getting on the wrong bus , after being directed by a person on duty at the bus depot and then the driver saying yes yes this was the right bus, finally being dropped off outside town when a conductor came around to sell us a ticket. When I rang up I was told no way I could make the tour that dayand had to join the next day. (I was thankful I hadn't missed out altogether) . Though my dismay to find out the next day that the bus takes you to new port to meet the boat, which then travels to old port to pick up more passengers. I could have easily made my way to old port the previous day. Once on the boat the cruise, the walk to the volcano site, though hot and long , I was prepared for that, the swim at the hot springs, the wonderful beautiful meal and wine ( no wine tasty g) one wine which was fine, and beautiful sunset with music exceptional friendly staff who speak most languages, once on the boat a brilliant cruise 100%brilliant. We did however choose to hop off at old port on the way back and get the donkey ride up to Fira, a unique experience in itself, and gave the bus a miss.

All good apart from the drive down to Athinios - but I did learn that in future not to sit at the front of the Coach! Note to self!
Thoroughly recommend this trip as the boat, crew and guide did a great job. The volcano bit was not too scary but hard work hiking up and back down.
