What You Can Expect

Food and Cultural Walking Tour of Pike Place Market

Watch Out for Flying Fish!

This is Seattle’s original food and cultural tour of Pike Place Market. It’s a place to meet the farmers, butchers, bakers, winemakers and all those who bring their bounty to this nine-acre table day in and day out.

The market also features one of the largest craft markets in the country, featuring all locally made, handcrafted goods. There are over 225 small, independent businesses and a diverse selection of restaurants here.

Also included on this tour is a repeat visitor card, good for a 10% discount at all of the locations where you will have tastings, valid for up to 1 week after the tour. And because it can get rather loud, personal audio devices are provided so you can hear the guide clearly.

Itinerary

The Pike Place Market Food and Cultural Walking Tour includes delicious tastings from (subject to change without notice):

  • Alderwood smoked salmon

  • Locally-roasted coffee
  • Cherry-inspired treats
  • Tom Douglas' crab cakes
  • Russian piroshky pastries
  • Artisan handmade cheeses

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Nick, did an outstanding job of making the market come to life. He seemed to know most of the vendors and have a good working relationship with them. Food samples were plentiful and fabulous, so we made sure to go back and patronize those vendors.

Loved this tour! While they said don't expect a full meal, you certainly did not walk away hungry. You visit and sample from the best locations within the Market. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to sample and doesn't like to wait in lines. Since you are part of the Group, the samples are ready to go and feel like a rockstar. Great tour.

Nick was a fabulous, funny and very informative tour guide who really made the tour.a The food was delicious we did the morning tour, but his background info and historical perspective made this great food tour one of our favorites ever and our 1 Seattle activity. Nick also provided excellent recommendations we used after the tour was over. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good story to go along with great food.
