What You Can Expect
The market also features one of the largest craft markets in the country, featuring all locally made, handcrafted goods. There are over 225 small, independent businesses and a diverse selection of restaurants here.
Also included on this tour is a repeat visitor card, good for a 10% discount at all of the locations where you will have tastings, valid for up to 1 week after the tour. And because it can get rather loud, personal audio devices are provided so you can hear the guide clearly.
The Pike Place Market Food and Cultural Walking Tour includes delicious tastings from (subject to change without notice):
- Alderwood smoked salmon
- Fresh seasonal produce
- Locally-roasted coffee
- Cherry-inspired treats
- Tom Douglas' crab cakes
- Russian piroshky pastries
- Artisan handmade cheeses
- Nation's best clam chowder
- Hot old-fashioned doughnuts
- And other tasty surprises!
The tour generally includes 9 or 10 tasting stops. The amount of food tasted on the tour is equivalent to a light lunch.
A great tour Justin was a great guide full of facts, enthusiasm and fun. The foods available for tasting were varied and delicious. The tour gave us the confidence to prowl the market and buy meals independently during the rest of our Seattle stay.
WE always enjoy walking food tours. This is a tremendous way to see a part of the city that you normally would not encounter. This trip provided us with places we went back to and a place for dinner. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Many thanks, Doug and Connie
Started a little slowly and was wondering if I was going to get money's worth, but in the end, it was very good. Justin did a fine job adding historical tidbits to the tour. Hard to pick my favorite stops, but the variety was quite satisfying. I think we ended up sampling 6 - 8 different restaurants - and again, I thought Justin picked ones very representative of the history of the market.
Taylor was fun and upbeat, the food was all great. We loved eating our way through the market!
Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Nick, did an outstanding job of making the market come to life. He seemed to know most of the vendors and have a good working relationship with them. Food samples were plentiful and fabulous, so we made sure to go back and patronize those vendors.
Loved this tour! While they said don't expect a full meal, you certainly did not walk away hungry. You visit and sample from the best locations within the Market. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to sample and doesn't like to wait in lines. Since you are part of the Group, the samples are ready to go and feel like a rockstar. Great tour.
We had a wonderful time. Our tour guide Emily, was the best! Highly recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed!
Our tour guide Kiely was amazing. She is full of information about the market and you can tell she really enjoys what she does. This tour is a great way to try some tasty treats and learn a ton about the history of the market.
The walking tour was amazing! It was the highlight of our trip, mostly due to our guild kelsey.
