Exploring Olympic Park
From the Seattle cruise port, hop in a luxury Mercedes vehicle and head out to Olympic National Park for a full-day, small-group shore excursion. Olympic National Park, located on the Olympic Peninsula, is a microcosm of Northwest ecosystems, and here you’ll find remote beaches fringing the country's oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges.
After a delicious light breakfast, including pastries and hot beverages, enjoy a scenic drive to Olympic National Park and stop for photo opportunities along the way. Your naturalist guide will lead you on several short nature walks, including a walk out on a sandspit to an old lighthouse. In spring and fall, thousands of waterfowl and shorebirds descend towards the shallow waters protected by the sandspit.
Next, climb up to Hurricane Ridge, a mountain citadel that puts you at the edge of the park's exceptional jagged peaks. Olympic marmots, black-tailed deer and black bears are known to frequent this area. From the meadows at the summit, take in the superb 360-degree view that embraces the surrounding mountains, the strait and the San Juan Islands. When it snows in the winter (typically mid-October through mid-March), strap on some snowshoes for this guided nature trek!
