The wine tour was fantastic. It’s a short 30 minute ride from downtown Seattle, which means the majority of the time is spent at the wineries and tasting rooms. The wine is very good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Well worth it!

Amazing! The wineries were wonderful, the tour director was great, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We were all loaded by the time we got back to our hotels. I highly recommend this. We've been home a month now and enjoying the wine we had sent to us!!

We loved this experience! The tour leader was both knowledgable and personable and the four wineries we visited were terrific. We enjoyed the six other people on our tour and highly recommend this tour to others. Our only disappointment was in joining a wine club at one of the sites and learning later that they could not ship to our home state of NC. We are currently looking for alternate ways to purchase that particular vineyards products.

This makes for a great half-day trip with a difference from Seattle! Rather than being a traditional wine-growing area like Napa or Margaret River, Woodinville is a place where wine-makers from the mountains gather to trade their stock, given its close proximity to the city. This makes for smaller, more intimate venues and we enjoyed visiting 4 venues in total and tasting the delicious Washington wines on offer. Snacks were plentiful too and our friendly guide supplied us with a tasty cheese and salami platter during our longest stop. He also gave us a useful insight into the geology of the Washington state and how it lends itself to wine production, which was extremely interesting. Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts and those looking or a few relaxed afternoon drinks out of the city!

What a fun afternoon! We visited quite a few venues ranging from small tasting rooms to larger venues with wide bars and outdoor seating - perfect for sunny days! Pourings are very generous and the range of wines on offer was impressive. Small group was great as allowed us to mingle with our fellow wine enthusiasts.

Three of the four tasting rooms we visited were nice and friendly and acted happy to have us there (although the level of feeling welcomed varied greatly) Airfield Estates was the most accommodating. They welcomed us with open arms, attended to our needs and were available for questions. Several staff memebers approached us to make sure all was well. The other 2 who welcomed us did not always seem so happy to have our group of 10, but at least they made an attempt. Our first stop made no attempt at all. In fact, I think her was rather annoyed that we were there. It is interesting how good customer relations correlates to sales. My 3 freinds and I all purchased at Airfield Estates. We did not purchase anyhwere else.
While the tasting rooms are the main attraction of this tour, there is a lot to be said for how long it takes to get there. My goup of 4 was on the bus making pick-ups for an HOUR before we even headed toward our destination. While we do not blame the driver (she was very apologetic) we blame the tour company. THere is NO WAY that we should have had to cram 10 people in the van. The company promotes riding in a Mercedes SUV. It is a van. No different than any other tour van i have been in. (THere is a mobile dog groomer in my area that uses the same vehicle).
Bottom line: Find a tour that travels with smaller groups (you might be better received??) and do not go on a Saturday if you can avoid it. Our group of 4 did not feel that this trip was worhty of the money charged and the company did not deliver what was advertised.
