What You Can Expect
Your informative guide shares fascinating stories about Sedona's history, plant and animal life, geology and climate throughout your tour. Keep your camera handy for frequent photo ops of breathtaking vistas and local landmarks. After pickup from your uptown Sedona hotel, meet your guide and hear an overview of the points of interest in the area, so that you can customize your tour to your interests and abilities.
Some of the most popular parts of the route include a drive through Oak Creek Canyon, which is considered one of the most beautiful canyons in Arizona, a 'little cousin' to the Grand Canyon. Drive the scenic route that runs between the creek and the towering red rock formations and stop at Bell Rock for stunning views of the massive rock. You can even stop at roadside stands that display Native American jewelry and crafts for sale.
Airport Mesa is another highlight, where you'll want to get your camera out to capture this vantage point on the red rock of West Sedona. Then visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an architectural wonder that was built in 1956. The innovative building was constructed on a 250-foot (76-meter) tower of red rock, with an enormous window that illuminates the interior and frames the desert landscape and sky outside.
This was an amazing tour, primarily because of the very knowledgeable and personable tour guide, Lynne. She was early to get us - which was good as she met us at the resort office, and we didn't feel at all rushed by her. Lynne's knowledge of local plant life, history and culture - as well as her obvious love of the area - made this tour a true highlight of our trip. I only wish we had booked her for a Grand Canyon tour we had already booked with another company. This was the very best tour I've experienced, and I've had tours and tour guides in areas around the globe. I highly recommend - and, ask for Lynne.
Really good tour. Nice Guide. And all the attractions are amazing. Especially recommended for people go to Sedona for the first time.

Tour guide was excellent. He had a background in geology and made the tour really interesting-not just looking at formations.
We had a quick tour of the Sedona area during the morning by Alan who was an informative and friendly guide. He pointed out all the interesting places we wanted to see and we followed up in the afternoon for a more detailed recce.
A very interesting and very informative tour...the guide is great! And, of course, scenery spectacular. Sedona is a beautiful city.
