Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the DMZ Past and Present: Korean Demilitarized Zone Tour from Seoul. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
The tour was as advertised. The guide was very nice. The bus was clean and comfortable. Would recommend this tour.
Learned so much interesting stuff from this tour. Thank you viator :)
The tour was informative and interesting. The guide, Brian, was excellent. It was all that had hoped for in the tour!
Extremely enjoyed the tour! The guide was great and very funny, even if it wasn't necessarily intentional at times. Good independent exploration, with the facts (which I worry were slightly blurred sometimes with opinion) being dished out whilst driving. They were very flexible for us. Go Ginseng!
The tour guide, Nana, was extremely informative and provided a rich history on the ride to the DMZ. She was easy to understand and very humorous. I loved that she told us the top places to visit in our limited time at various sites. There was ample time at the Observatory to gaze into North Korea and to explore the Third Infiltration Tunnel. This was an amazing tour for the price, and I was very glad that my family and I were able to experience it!
Well worth the experience. Guide was very informative, spoke excellent English and was happy to explain everything. Bit of a pro-unification slant on a lot of what was said, especially the video before the tunnel visit, but that's to be expected.
Great informational tour that ended with an awesome Korean meal! Erica was very helpful and detailed in explaining the complex history between the North and South. Would definitely recommend this tour.
A interesting and informative tour. Be sure to expect a lot of walking uphill especially at the Tunnel. Guide spoke good English.
It's a great tour. Our tour guide Nana was so awesome. She kept us entertained and informed. Be prepared, wear hiking shoes.
I prefer the combination DMZ and JSA tour.
This was a fascinating tour and I recommend it to anyone interested in the dynamics of a split country.
Getting picked up at Seoul Station ended up being easy. Driver was there on time. Tour was good - guide Sunny was knowledgeable and personable. The tour ended up being cut short as I paid for an all day and didn't use the after lunch portion since I was the only one who signed up. I found a little confusion on the website in the descriptions of the various tours so you may want to revise the descriptions. The price difference was refunded. Because I wasn't staying at a hotel in Seoul , having a US phone number to call eased the way for me to participate on this tour.
Highly recommend this tour! Our guide was amazing, very patient and informative! I do suggest not going to the DMZ during a hoilday because everything is really busy!
Great tour, great guide and driver. Extremely interesting to see in person all the history.
So very cool to be able to see North Korea from afar lol. The tour was well organized. Done on time too.
The tour guide was excellent. Picked up on time at my hotel. Very informative tour of the DMZ
The comfort of the motor coach was wonderful. Went on a Sunday so less traffic. You must bring your passport.
Love the tour! It was very informative and exciting to see the border which I have heard so much in the news!
A great tour. The guide was really informative and helpful. It was lucky that it was a nice clear day so we could see quite clearly from the observatory. The walk into the 3rd infiltration tunnel was great, it was quite a walk but it was nice to stretch the legs after the bus ride. Time spent at each stop was relatively short but definitely enough time to take all the photos you want and to take in the sights. A morning well spent.
