Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Korean Palace and Market Tour in Seoul Including Insadong and Gyeongbokgung Palace. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Michelle was helpful and made our palace tour very worthwhile. Same goes with Insadong and Namdaemun experience.
It was realy great the tour, the information about the places visited was fine and our guise a very nice person.
A good way to get a flavor of Seoul, the guide knowledgeable and kept the tour moving.
The guide was very good and accommodating, I recommend her she did a great job.
A wonderful day spent in thei company of the delightful guide Saywa (I should have asked how to spell her name), a day of Temples and Palaces and many wonders to behold. My main impression is one of colour. There are stark contrasts between the very new and the traditional in terms of architecture and art and all the while there is the background hum of traffic. Dragon flies and plants, trees on the tops of buildings speak of the continuum of nature in the midst of man made activity. Go on this tour and have a good taste of Korean culture and culinary skill - lunch, bibinbap, was lovely.
Great culture introduction of Seoul! Food was delicious.
The tour guide (Dora) was awesome !! She managed the timing nicely and took care of us magnificently. She also explained about the history about all the places that we went to nicely.
you really get to see a lot on this full day tour. The weather was clear and cool. Our guide was informative and good at answering our questions.
Overall enjoyed it!
Our pick up at the hotel was on time. Courteous guides, well organized and highly profesional. I recomend this tour and of course, Viator.
Very interesting and informative tour. Our guide (Rebecca) was excellent.
Korean lunch was very good. time to shop at nearby 'market' was good.
Would nave been nice to have had a little more time to spend at the market, at the end of the tour.
Tour guide on time, friendly and knowledgeable, gave us interesting information on each stop. Really would have preferred more time at the folk museum and no time at the ginseng sales pitch, also old have lived without the amythest tour/sales pitch as well. If there had of been some information on the formation, etc, it could have been interesting, but as it stood, we were short changed on the culture pieces to accommodate the sales pieces.
Michelle, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to give us information and share her experiences. I would have liked longer in the museum - particularly to get to all the sections - 20 minutes isn't nearly long enough to do even one gallery justice. Maybe instead of trying to do 2 markets, you just do 1. My recommendation is Insadong because the items are more culturally significant for tourists. I really enjoyed taking part in the Emergency Drill. Watching a city shut down at 2:00pm for 15 minutes was amazing and it was fascinating to have the processed explained. Overall - a worthwhile tour and worth doing in this format if you're only in Seoul for a short while.
