What You Can Expect
Insa-dong
Meet your guide at the Gwanghwamum Metro Station in Seoul, and begin your tour by walking through Cheonggyecheon Plaza. This beautiful, 5-mile-long (8-kilometer) public recreation space flows from west to east through downtown Seoul and is a popular gathering place for locals to relax. Admire the picturesque stream, historic stone bridges and uniquely decorated walls, with modern high rises in the backdrop.
Continue your walk to Jongno, one of the oldest areas running through central Seoul and an important financial and cultural center. Walk over and visit Jogyesa, one of the main temples of Korean Buddhism in Seoul. Admire one of Korea’s national monuments, the 500-year-old ancient white pine tree within the temple grounds.
Stroll over to Insa-dong, Seoul’s center for traditional Korean culture, art and cuisine. Visit an authentic Korean tea shop and sample aromatic and soothing teas. Browse through the markets for traditional paintings, calligraphy, pottery and folk crafts at unbeatable prices. Finish your adventure by indulging in tasty Korean cuisine. Try popular dishes like bibimbap, meaning “mixed rice” in Korean. Bibimbap is served in a clay steam bowl of warm white rice topped with sautéed and seasoned vegetables, beef, a fried egg and chili pepper paste. The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly prior to eating.
This three-hour walking tour will give you a good overview of Seoul so you can explore the rest of the city on your own, discovering new neighborhoods or returning to your favorite spots for a more in-depth look.

Jiny, my guide, was top-notch. A young lady with a vast knowledge of her city, and is good at conveying it to others. She taught me a few phrases in Korean that I used the rest of my trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Mr Kim - parents and teenage kids alike. We saw parts of Seoul we would totally have missed on our own. Mr Kim obviously loves his city and it was wonderful to see his enthusiasm, energy and pride as he showed us his city. Thank you.
