This was a very educational tour.Love walking thru the corridor and shopping. It was absolutely beautiful to see and hear the history of Córdoba. The Mosque was something to definitely see while in Spain. We purchased the Carmona tour but this was cancelled. Still a great time.
Excellent tour. The guide in Cordoba was extremely knowledgable. Appreciated the free time to wonder the streets, have lunch, cross the bridge, visit the Spanish Inquisition Museum etc. Glad we didn't take up the optional tour but instead had a quiet drink and a walk around the streets on our own. Those who did that bit of the trip said they wished they'd done as we did so obviously didn't miss anything much.
Apart from a small hiccup in communicating that the optional tour of Carmona wasn't going ahead the actual tour of Córdoba was wonderful. The guide who had to provide the commentary in English and Spanish was amazing. She gave an excellent historical context throughout and ensured that the English speakers who were the smaller group received as much input as the others. Due to not doing the optional tour we travelled to and from Córdoba by train which proved to be a good opportunity to see the countryside from a different perspective. Also pleased to report that after some communication we have been reimbursed for the missed section of the tour.

Our bus was expertly driven by Israel and the on-bus tour guide Carmen gave a lively and engaging history of the Andalusian countryside on our way to Córdoba. The only complaint we had was the a/c could not keep up the external heat and the BTU's pumped out by 14 or so people inside the bus. Still, we survived and it was utterly worth it. The whole tour was very well organized and our Spanish/English speaking guide at the compound sadly, I forgot her name, but it was for a tour that began on the morning of July 21 was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, animated, and gave intelligent and thorough information every step of the way. Being in the Great Mosque was a long-term goal of mine as an art history professor, and I was thrilled with the shape and length of the tour. It made the sweltering heat insignificant. I was able to assess the space and truly appreciate the rich history of the entire area we visited, including the castillo and the sumptuous gardens.
We made a brief stop at Carmona, which I think all would have been grateful to skip given the heat, but the Andalusur professionals delivered on the package they sold us. I'm glad we stopped even if were wiped out by then.
The best thing about the tour was being able to wander the Great Mosque after the guide finished her remarks. She was awesome, and kept it lively in two languages. My bucket list is shorter now, and that is a good thing. I have already recommended this tour to friends, without hesitation.
There can never be enough time for seeing a historical monument like this. The guide did a marvellous job in taking us through different periods of history inside the mosque. Carmona can be totally avoided and that would give the visitors more time to browse through the town.
A must have visit when you travel to Andalusia. Excellent mezquita, walk around Jewish quater, visit the christian palace. The Architecture in Cordoba mezquita is really beautiful and breath taking. Our tour leader is excellent too, Alicia and the driver Manuel?. Visit to Carmona is recommended, a small, unique roman city. The tour agent is professional, value for money. Excellent!
It is the guide who makes any Trip exciting. Guide was fantastic and very good explanation and description of various places of tour.
Fabulous! The entire city was wonderful and the guide was quite knowledgeable.
despite some hiccups at the outset getting to the guide office with our driver who did not speak a word of English, the tour itself was great. The only issue we had was that the tour was approximately 30 people all Spanish speaking with myself, husband and two others requiring an English guide. The guide who was very knowledgable, spoke in both languages, however as we were the minority, more than a few times we had to remind her to translate in English and often felt the translation was given in minutes less than in Spanish. However, overall she was friendly, informative and it did not damper the most wonderful experience in Cordoba. Recommended!
The trip is definitely recommended. You get a chance to visit another beautiful place in less than a day!
Cordoba is a pretty pretty place! Beautiful narrow streets, windows decorated with flowers..picture perfect! Be it Seville or Cordoba, Andalusia is beautiful! Our guide was great too!
Very good service, attention and great people. We had a great experience!!!! Everyone was very patient with our kids, we got to see the best places of the city. Cordoba is beautiful. I really liked this tour and I will highly recommend it. I want to come back!!!!! Excellent experience and great time
One of the "must see" - mezquita of cordoba . Our guide ,Alicia, from Andalus tour took very good care of us. She made sure we understood he history of the place and its surroundings.
Our tour to Cordoba was really interesting. Our tour guide was Silvia. She was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. We really enjoyed the day! I must add that Andalsur Excursions as a company must improve it's game. They moved and did not inform us of the new location prior to our departure for Spain. They also did not return my e-mails that I sent to ehm prior to our trip. Silvia made the difference for us and the day itself was very good. Again Silvia was the saving factor, as she was terrific!
The driver was outstanding. The guide was very knowlegeable and friendly.
Our guide for this tour was incredible! Just to think that you are standing in a place that was built in the second century and continued with Muslim, Roman and Christian control truly reminded me that God loves and created ALL of us. Beautiful!
The tour of Cordoba was great - though our guide spoke too quickly! ALSO: the Carmona option never happened!!! We brought it to the attention of the guide, but nothing happened! We should be reimbursed for that part!!!
Wonderful, definitely recommend visiting the city and spending some time on your own as well. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The guide in Cordoba was exellent, but the optional Carmona tour isn't really worth it (in my case, the guide didn't have much to say...). I would definitly recommend the Cordoba tour!
Sylvia was the tour guide on the bus to Cordoba and she was very good. In Cordoba Anna led the walking tour and was excellent. Since she is rather short, it might be helpful for her to carry a flag or something so the tourists don't lose her. Again, it was hard to get a confirmation from Viator about the meeting place for the bus. I wrote 2-3 times and got no response. Fortunately, we arrived in Seville the day before the tour so I asked the hotel to call the tour company to confirm the pick-up time and place.
Cordoba Mosque is very much worth seeing. It is beautiful and unique, a mix between Catholics and Muslim. The local guide tour could be better if headsets and receivers are provided. It is not easy to hear every thing the guide says, especially when he switches between Spanish and English. You will not be able to take pictures and listen at the same time due to this fact. You will miss either the explanation or the pictures since the tour keeps on constantly moving.
