The brand-new tour bus was expertly driven by Israel. Our guide Antonio M. was superb, a kind and engaging professional who made the whole compound come alive, thanks to his encyclopedic knowledge. The pace was a bit much for my husband with his cane, but Antonio kept an eye on him, especially at the end when he was moving slower. Antonio was a consummate professional, passionate about history, and answered all questions from a place of deep and granular knowledge. He was able to read the groups' needs at every turn. When a lady in our group had a minor fall he sprang into action and attended to her needs for as long as it took to make certain she was ready to continue, in a gentlemanly fashion. The whole compound came alive with his expertise and I commend him. Our bus guide, whose name I sadly do not recall I slept on the bus too and fro, having not slept the night before out of excitement for seeing this UNESCO World Heritage Site was also very professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, according to my husband, who was alert.

We opted not to do the Albaicin walking tour, instead finding a lovely little pub near the city's center and had a refreshing lunch where we could share our impressions of the Generalife Gardens and the architecture.

The heat was oppressive and relentless, but it was all worth it to see such sights. It was a dream come true for me as an art history professor and I took away from the Alhambra much more than just 200 photos. I have already recommended this tour to friends, without reservation.

This was a fantastic tour which was a highlight of our trip. Maria, our guide in the Alhambra, was beautiful and knowledgeable. Only critique is that she didnt stop on occasion in a shady spot on a scorching hot day. Sylvia was also terrific in the tour of Albaicin. Highly recommended.

The tour to Granada was spectacular. From start to finish we were taken care of. We were a little concerned when we arrived in Seville how we would get in touch with our tour operator, but they had already been to our hotel in advance and left instructions with the concierge. Our tour guide Virginia met us on time about 30 meters from our hotel entrance as promised.
Our first stop was a rest stop about half way there that had café, pastries, sandwiches, etc. We stayed there about 15 minutes or so. Virginia offered us the optional Albaicin tour for an additional 12 euro per person. 5 of the 7 of my group signed up, and were not disappointed. We all highly recommend the Albaicin especially if your tour guide is Virginia. She was quite knowledgeable and thorough. The Albaicin has quaint little cobblestone streets that cry Europe. Tiny shops and cafes are found throughout the perched town offering great views of the Alhambra.
I highly recommend the restaurant El Balcon de San Nicholas. Perfect to see the Alhambra and fresh high quality food. We all ordered fruit smoothies and iberico ham with avocados, nice for a hot day.
As for the Alhambra, words cannot express its beauty. It really was extravagant and impressive. Its apparently 4 miles of walking, but it doesnt feel like that. Our tour guide Victor was great and funny. He explained everything and answered all of our questions. The architecture was stunning, the cross culture amalgamation of the Moors and Christianity was captivating, and the sheer size was breathtaking. Not interested at first, I quickly became its biggest fan. I am not one to repeat vacations, but I would make an effort to return here one day.
All in all I give it three thumbs up, 6 out of 5 stars. And all my thanks to Virginia, Victor, our bus driver Luke, and the many people behind the scenes that made this such a magically event.
PS: You can live in the Alhambra if you have 50 million Euro. Where's that lotto ticket?!?
