A long day but well worth it. Xavier, our guide for the day was excellent. The tour guide at the Alhambra made the visit well worthwhile. He was very knowledgable and we certainly would not have got as much from the visit if we had gone under our own steam. Highly recommended.
EXTRAORDINARY !!! From the time they pick us up from our hotel lobby to the end.Thank you.We will continue to contact Viator when planning our trips. Jose Munizu
It was an excellent and memorable trip!!
We had the best tour guide, Melissa. She was outstanding! !
The trip was really valuable, as the must see. The guide and a driver were really helpful and entuziastic.
Our guide on the bus and the guide through Alambra were both excellent.
We had a splendid day.
A marvellous experience. The tour was very well organized and everything worked as it should. We had a friendly guide on the bus and the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens official guide was simply superb. The only warning I would give to other travellers from Sevilla is that the bus ride to Granada, 3 hours each way, is a long one. However, as the departure is so early it is easy to sleep part of the way from Sevilla, and the return time from Granada coincides perfectly with the Spanish siesta hour, so another nap on the way back is also very pleasant.
No better way to see the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens than buy tour. Very intricate palace with a world of history attached. Guides are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Tour bus was on time and bus guide was knowledgeable as well. Great day and great experience. Highly recommend tour; do not try to do this alone.
The trip was smooth and uneventful. At Alhambra's gate we met our Alhambra's guide, Maria. Maria was the best guide we've ever had. She was knoledgeable not only about Alhambra's history, but on many oher subjects. Her English was excellent. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything.
We had a great tour! Carmen was very informative and sweet. Everything was taken care of from pickup in the morning, a break 1 1/2 hours into the trip, our tickets and tour guides were there for us at the Alhambra, they took us for a little tour of Granada also and showed us some places for lunch before the ride back to Seville. The Alhambra is impressive, imagine standing in the same room where Queen Isabella met with Christopher Columbus, and then look at the incredible beauty of the room. The gardens and fountains are stunning as is the view from the Alhambra. Highly recommend the trip and with the tour you don't have to worry being sure you have tickets to get in (they have about 8,000 people tour per day).
Although it looks like a long old day in actual fact the time races by as this is such a well organised and interesting trip.
The 15-seater van picked us up promptly at 6:25 a.m. close to our hotel. We had a rest stop after 1.5 hours. We got straight into the Alhambra. Three of us on the bus needed an English-speaking guide. There were only a few English speakers and a few French speakers at the Alhambra that day, so we three were combined with three French speakers from another tour, and our one excellent guide, Oskar, repeated everything in both languages to the six of us. After the 3-3.5 hour tour our van driver took us into downtown Granada where he left us off for about 1.5 hours to get lunch and have a look around. He picked us up again around 3:45 and we were back to our hotel by about 7:30 p.m.
We were very satisfied with this tour. We had heard on some forums that 6 hours on the bus for a 3 hour tour doesn't make for a pleasant day, but we enjoyed the bus ride, saw a lot of the Spanish countryside, and simply didn't have time to stay overnight in Granada. We were also glad that our ticket into the Alhambra was assured, and we appreciated such a knowledgeable and pleasant guide.
The Alhambra and Generalife Gardens are a must to see. As the number of visitor per day is restricted, we were happy that we had booked our tour with VIATOR. The tour guide's comments were very interesting and pertinent.
The Granada / Alhambra day trip was incredible. Such an amazing palace and gardens, full of Moorish, Jewish and Christian history. The architecture was amazing and the history of the Alhambra was very interesting. Well worth the day trip. Our guide was great.
Very very very good! The coach picked us up from our hotel exactly on time, the guide was friendly, excellent tour of the Alhambra with a very knowledgeable guide and dropped off again to our hotel. Highly recommended.
Great guide, knows his history.
Fast pace tour, could use an extra hour.
Tour groups should stay together, I was separate from my party.
We had a knowledgeable and fascinating tour guide. As soon as we returned to France we bought Washington Irving's Tales of the Alhambra, as suggested by the guide; Wonderful book. We are looking forward to returning to Granada and Seville as soon as possible. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience.
The Alhambra is beautiful, unmissable! Our guide from Seville was very friendly and informative, a really nice man (I think his name is Juan). My only quibble was our guide in the Alhambra - our 'whispers' weren't working properly because he kept turning his head instead of speaking into the microphone, he was very irritable and at one point he disappeared and we had to run to catch up with him!
One of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Spain. A must see destination for sure. The English speaking guide at the Alhambra was very good. The bus travel guide was so-so and didn't speak very good English so he tended to spend more time explaining sites along the trip from Seville to Granada with the Spanish guests.
It was all very good.Pick up exactly on time, just enough information given on the bus, and tour guide at the Alhambra very knowledgable and interesting. The amount of time we had at the Alhambra and in Granada was just right. The place we stopped on the way there and back for a snack was hectic and disorganised with rude staff. I would have appreciated a couple of quick photo stops on the road - the sunrise was loveley, as were the fields of sunflowers and the views of the mountains.
