What You Can Expect
Pass Plaza de España – the must-see square in Maria Luisa Park – and hear how it was created for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition World’s Fair. The lavish park was redeveloped into Moorish-style gardens, and the square was designed to be its pièce de résistance. Built in a classic Renaissance Revival style, the square is now home to several eye-catching Government buildings and a large central fountain.
As your minibus winds its way through the city, your guide will point out other top Seville attractions like the Palace of San Telmo with its ornately decorated Baroque exterior, and Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold) – the intriguing building that once held precious metals and gold from America.
Head through Seville’s Santa Cruz quarter and see why so many describe it as the city’s most picturesque neighborhood. As you pass along its inviting little streets, watch out for its two UNESCO-listed attractions. See King Juan Carlos’ official Seville residence, Royal Alcazar Palace (or Real Alcazar Palace as it's known in Spain), and gaze in awe at Seville Cathedral – one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world.
After four hours of taking in the top Seville sights, your tour finishes back at the historical center of Seville.
A great way to see the major attractions and they certainly were worth seeing. The hotel pick up was efficient. We would have liked the visit to Plaza de Espana to have been a bit longer - instead of just 15 mins. The times at the other venues were fine. We found it hard to understand our guide at times - the majority of the group were English-speakers but she concentrated on the 2 Spanish speakers in the group. A bonus was that we could remain longer at the Cathedral when the tour ended and we were able to climb La Giralda.
Excellent tour, very good guide.
Tour guide very good. Good overview of Seville and excellent guide through cathedral. Climbed to top of La Giralda for great views.
Great tour guide and a wonderful way to see this magical city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
This tour was amazing!
This is a really good introduction to the beautiful city of Seville - if I had time I would have done the full-day tour, which includes a boat trip on the river, but this morning tour was also good. I found the tour guide was not as good as I'd hoped - she has obviously done this tour 100 times, and was determined to say what she needed to say whether people were listening or not! The attractions were really good to see however - we went to the 1929 expo pavilions and gardens, the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Jewish quarter - all beautiful places. Be aware that this tour ends at the cathedral, so you will need to find your own way back after this.
Great to see all the highlights of Seville
Another guide who was great! We only had 4 people on tour which meant we saw more and learned more about each place. We also upgraded to the tower to see all of Sevilla and it was beautiful.
Great guide! Was very knowledgeable and helpful. Entering the Alcazar with a guide is great as you get preferential entrance, but it is a bit rushed.
