My husband and I were delightfully surprised by how amazing this tour actually was. The tour guide was outstanding!! He was friendly and very knowledgable of the Tuscany region. The tour only included us and another couple, which was a lovely surprise. It made it more personal. This tour is a must!!
We had a great time. The wine tasting event was spectacular. My wife and I fell in love with San Gimignano. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit wine country.
This tour was great! Danny our guide was very knowledgeable about the Siena and San Gimignano area and made for a very enjoyable tour. The wine tasting was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was a fun tour. We had a couple of hours in San Gimignano which was great. It's a delightful little town that I think you could spend a couple of days enjoying. The wine tasting over lunch was absolutely hilarious. The guy running the wine tasting was a real comedian and had all the groups there laughing most of the time. The wines were very nice and the oils were great. It was just an all-round great experience.
Fantastic tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would have liked to have more time in San Gimignano (we had about 45 minutes) but the wine tasting was fantastic. They do not skimp on the wine as we each received about 6 glasses. We also got to try a variety of olive oils. The truffle oil was fantastic.
Our tour guide Marco was excellent he made the trip really worthwhile. It was a really wet day and we were pleased to be collected from our accommodation. When we left Siena but by the time we were approaching Sam Gimignano the weather cleared and Marco pulled over to the side of the road for us to take photos. We could have possibly spent more time there as it was market day. The wine tasting was enjoyable, a lovely setting but being from New Zealand we were not into Italian wine. On the whole a great morning out
What a great time we had on this tour! Our guide was full of information and we enjoyed his company! The wine tasting was AMAZING!
I greatly enjoyed the tour and wine tasting. Our driver was very nice and have good information about local sites. I would recommend this to others.
We did this tour on 15 the April. We really enjoyed Daniel's tour, he was very informative about the history of the area. We spent 1.5 hours in San Gimignano then went on to the Winery where we had an excellent education in tasting wine by Ada. There were only 4 of us on the tour which was great for us. Highly recommended
Apparently the driver/tour guide got ill, so they needed to find someone else, which they did pretty quick, because there was only a 30 minutes delay in picking me up at the hotel. They called the hotel and informed me of delay, which I appreciated. The tour itself was very nice. First we drove to San Gimignano (we stopped on the way to take some photo's of the city in the distance - the pics turned out lovely) and had some free time there, then to wine tasting. Wine tasting was nicely organised, we had a table for our group and there were two other groups there. We tasted several of the most famous Toscan wines and had some antipasti. Back to Siena around 14h00.This trip was a good value for money
July 13 2013. Simply awesome. Highly recommended. The tour guide Simone (Simon) was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful and witty. The wine tasting experience was amazing, lots of wine bottles to try from, the spread of food with the wine was impressive...a great marketing strategy...we all bought while full and half drunk.... Worth every penny you pay.
Our wine tasting was done very well and the truffle oil was incredible! Our tour to San Gimignano was a must see!
San Gimignano was amazing, the Wine Tasting was wonderful - for whatever reason our tour did not include a tour of the vineyards or wine cellars as stated however we did enjoy a wine-tasting session, and sampled Vernaccia wine along with several other local wines. The downside of the tour was our van - there was problem with a window which created wind noise making it difficult to hear our guide - impossible for those seated in the back row.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgable. Enough free time at San Gimignano to explore. Most enjoyable visit to Tenuta Torciano for the wine tasting.
However, on the down side, it was difficult to hear our guide's commentary on the history of the region while he was driving. Obviously, he had to keep his eyes on the road, so it was difficult, especially on the Autostrada (road noise) to pick up exactly what he was saying. It would be very helpful if some sort of intercom or speaker system was fitted to the mini coaches.
This was an awesome trip. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I would have liked to have spent some time time in San Gimignano, but our tour was only the half day. Our tour guide, Thomas, was wonderful. He was very informative and took us to a fabulous winery. It was one of the highlights of our time in Italy!
This was a very enjoyable day trip from Siena. We were picked up and returned to our Siena hotel which was very convenient. The tour guide was very personable and courtious. We had enough time in San Gimignano to see it (given that the tour was only a half day). The wine tasting was held at a nice local winery which provided some nice appetizers and a good wine explanation and tasting. The group with us was about another 6 people from various parts of the world. We recommend this day tour.
Guide was fantastic, scenery beautiful, San Gimigano defiantly a place not to miss. Wine tasting fun and informative. Only wish we had had more time to explore San Gimignano.
San Gimignano was wonderful, but an hour was way too short. We barely had time to explore at all. The wine tasting although enjoyable, was basically just a hard sell and at 11.30 in the morning...a bit early. I would much prefer just to have visited San Gimignano. Also ..our guide was excellent but obviously very under pressure and kept looking at his watch. He actually had me stressed that he would be late for his next tour.
