Great introduction to Malaysia. Just enough touring and just enough time on our own to explore. Batu Caves was the highlight for me, yet the museum was also very informative. Nice guide (Abdul) and responsible driver (Murugan). We were fortunate to have great fellow travelers as our group, so that also helped make this a fun tour.
This was my first trip traveling alone. It was a great experience! The guide, Abdul, was excellent. The hotels were clean and centrally located. My group was friendly and inclusive. I would highly recommend this trip. Well organized and thoughfully planned.
Insightful trip that gives a great possibility to discover as well history as culture of Malaysia. We had a great guide who provided us with all necessary information
Highly recommended. Our guide Karl is a very nice person. He explained the everything about the history, cultural and geophraphic points of the places we visited . Lunch and breakfast was well also.
Had a great time! Super friendly and knowledgeable guide, would go back again, and hopefully visit the rest of Malaysia
The entire tour was perfect right from the very start , curtious and efficient are the words I would use for all the staff we met especially our guide John , who felt more of a friend than an employee while still maintaining an air of professionalism . I would heartily recommend this tour to any tourist wanting to see a little of Malaysia .
The tour exceeded our expectations. We had 8 family members from age 8 - 67 years old and each of them had a great time. The tour guide was great and the bus driver was safe and courteous. They even helped us celebrate our child's birthday with the whole group at one of our stops. The daily tours were just right and covered everything we had hoped for. Looking forward to another Viator tour somewhere else in the world.
We were extremely happy with this tour. We were met promptly to get to the train in plenty of time and our guide and driver in Malaysia were a great combination of knowledge, and skills and also very affable and obliging. We only had 4 days to spare at the end of another holiday, and this was just perfect, giving us an interesting insight into the history of Malacca, and a couple of afternoons/evenings in Kuala Lumpur to enjoy the sights of this vibrant city. The food along the way was excellent, both the included meals and the ones we had to seek out ourselves. Loved the Batu Caves and the Batik and Pewter showrooms too.
This was a great high quality tour and we enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend this to any friends travelling to Singapore or Malaysia.
This trip was very good value for money. The guide from Jalan Jalan was excellent. We used this trip merely as a taste for Malaysia to see if we wanted to explore further - we certainly do!!

Great tour with wonderful tour guide and driver (Captain). We learnt lots about Malayasia during the 4 days. Hotel in Malacca was top quality and the bonus was they served great food to. Good to have some free time to do our own exploring. We were lucky to be in a small group which helped getting to know our fellow tour group. Would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see Malaysia for the first time
5 stars for the guide service and hotels. Viator you made my trip to Singapore and Malaysia so much easier and enjoyable. Thank you!
To begin on a good foot, I was lucky enough to have a private tour (since no one else signed up) for four days. My driver and guide team were excellent, kind men who went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed the trip. The sights were great and the hotels were top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
An enjoyable first visit across to Malaysia. The guide gave us lots of background information on all aspects of the tour and had a very keen sense of humour. With a small group, only five of us, the pick up times and points in Singapore arranged by the tour provider could have easily have been adjusted and delayed by 3/4 hr. We were at our collection hotel at 6:15 AM, and waited there for 25 minutes for someone to arrive to pick us up. However once we got across to Malaysia everything ran very smoothly. I'd recommend it as a first introduction to two very different population centres in Malaysia. The visit to Batu Caves was a good round off and personally I enjoyed the challenge of the sprint up the 280 steps to the Hindu shrines at the top!!
My 4 day Malacca and Kuala Lumpur tour from Singapore was wonderful. Extremely well organized with a fantastic tour guide who had a great knowledge of the region, religion, customs and culture of the places we visited.
My one slightly negative comment would be that when we visited Malacca - we did a 2 hour tour on foot. Whilst this was extremely interesting, it also meant we suffered in the extreme heat and humidity whilst walking around Malacca. We did let the guide know that 2 hours was just too long - we were all fed up despite the wonderful places to visit, but he simply said it was where he had to take us. You do need to know it was just toooo long on foot for all of us, particularly the women.
I found Malacca and its history fantastic. On the whole trip I loved the little stop-overs to little villages with little stalls selling all sorts of things. All the hotels on the tour were absolutely first class. In Kuala Lumpur I would have preferred to have more of a tour with the guide, rather than be left to our own devices in a big city.
Even so. we met some wonderful people and it was a great tour. I would highly recommend.
Very enjoyable tour and a good introduction to the history and culture of Malaysia. The guide was excellent, the hotels were comfortable and well located, and the itinerary left enough free time for individualized activity.
Chinese New Year created problems. Bus all the way from Singapore, because no train seats were available. The train component was the main reason I chose this tour. Customs was congested and very slow. Traffic on the freeway was congested and very slow.
The remainder of the tour was good.
The tour was supposed to be a relaxing train ride, instead we did 7 painful and exausting hours by bus! We stop for the lunch at 15.30 pm.... No one advices us about this change of program before the trip!!!!!!
