What You Can Expect
With a history that dates back centuries, Malacca has witnessed the rise and fall of several empires over the years, from the Malay Sultanate to European rulers like the Portuguese, Dutch and British. These influences have left behind a multicultural atmosphere and medieval charm. With your private guide, explore the city’s historic landmarks that are part of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visit St Paul’s Hill, where St Francis Xavier was interned, and see Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese temple in the country. You’ll also check out the Portuguese fortress, Porta de Santiago. A Malaysian lunch is included.
Your day trip ends with the return drive to Singapore for hotel drop-off.
What a wonderful day. Both driver and guide went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Their knowledge was excellent and accommodated the majority of our requests. The lunch was also excellent.

The driver talked on the phone most of the way back and the "guide" slept in the front seat on both directions. The food at lunch was great, but the time in the city was so limited that we only marched through for just over 90 minutes.
