What You Can Expect
Highly knowledgeable about Singapore’s fascinating history, your guide will provide commentary about the Battle of Singapore, when the Japanese invaded Singapore in February 1942 during WWII. Listen to stories of strategy and intense fighting; learn about the various troops who fought on the side of Singapore—Australian, British, Indian and Malayan; and hear how Singapore was defeated in only eight days under the command of British officer Arthur Ernest Percival.
As you tour the city by coach, see landmarks like Labrador Battery, the site of Fort Pasir Panjang; Battlebox, the British Far East Command Centre where the decision was made to surrender to the Japanese; and Alexandra Hospital, where a horrible massacre took place. Then visit Kranji War Cemetery, which is part of the Commonwealth War Graves that honor heroes and heroines of war.
After this enlightening experience of debunking some of the myths that surround the Battle of Singapore, your tour ends with return to the National Museum.
Our guide, Helena, was so knowledgeable and presented everything in an interesting way. My 12 year old grand-daughter enjoyed the tour too.
Our guide was knowledgeable and was able to teach us lots about Singapore's history during the war. The Kranji War Memorial is a very moving place to visit. Highly recommend it as a way to give honor to those who died in the war.

Excellent and interesting tour !! ,Carol was an expert guide even went well out of her way to meet us at Little India MRT!, .We had lived in Singapore 10 years ago for a year and only ever went to Changi so this tour was great to hear about the significance of the sites of Mt Faber and Labrador Nature Reserve ,we also went to the Kranji War Memorial and it was very moving for me when we had a minutes silence that I had a lady next to me crying that had come to see a relative's resting place.
