I really enjoyed the tour. It was very informative of the early people of singapore. I also enjoyed the food tasting.. you have a chance to learn how to make it.

Basic tour but very informotive, great guide. At the spice gardens he knew it all. Only sorry i didn't write down what he told us about the spices. Food allthough small was delicious. Well worth a go at this tour.

This was an excellent tour! We were shown the highlights at the Spice Garden and the Peranakan Museum and given insight that wasn't on any of the plaques. I was able to make a pork-rice dumpling with some assistance and then to eat a cooked one. The food was good and something I would not have tried on my own, but would love to try again! We learned about the Peranakan bead work and saw samples, amazing! We also saw examples of embroidery at really high quality, and a traditional dress I modeled. It was a morning well spent!

This was our favorite trip. Learned a lot about Singapore and the people. Food was good but different. They even dressed me up as a Peranakan. Great!

Loved this tour - it was brilliant. I have visited Singapore many times but had not heard of the Peranaken Museum. The shophouse we visited was wonderful. The hosts were gracious and could not have been more welcoming. Definitely recommend this tour for a small insight into the real Singapore and its history.

We had a bad start to this tour as the scheduled pick-up from our hotel was late arriving, and there was chaos and confusion because 'the office had made a mistake.' We were therefore late starting the tour and it became rather rushed which was a shame as it was very interesting and we would have liked more time in the Peranakan Museum.
We also visited the Spice Garden, and a lovely Peranakan lady called Doris who demonstrated the preparation of a typical
food and then we were able to try some of the foods. We enjoyed the tour very much in spite of the inauspicious start.

I am very pleased with the tour. Spice garden was interesting, got some taste of the spice road trade. Pranacan butique was rustic and nice, I tried traditional Pranacan dress. Bead work and embroidary was lovingly done and really colorful. I stayed after the rest of the group set back to the hotel and I bought a hand-painted cotton sarong. They tailored the fabric into wrap skirt on the spot.
