Very interesting afternoon seeing the Singapore of the Singaporeans. Excellent, definitely recommend.
Nice to get off the standard tourist track. Short & sweet - enough to give you a taste whilst still leaving you time to explore on your own. Host was friendly and informative with a local authenticity.
Interesting tour with an informative guide who gave lots of interesting info on the real Singapore. Worth doing if you want to know more about how Singaporeans live.

We thought we would see the 'real Toa Payoh' but all we did was look at a shopping centre for 30 minutes. The food at Holland Village was so-so and then again another shopping centre - we could have done that ourselves. I think you talked this trip up quite a lot!!
The shopping malls we were taken to were below par. Not worth the time.
Skip it. The highlights were learning about the public housing system and eating a spicy floss bun and laksa. Other than the public housing information, you can get the food on your own, and you can certainly do shopping on your own -- there are no shortages of places to shop. And the ones on this trip are far short of spectacular.
