Horse racing in Singapore has come a long way since its origins in 1842. Watch world-class thoroughbreds race at the Singapore Turf Club, which has achieved prominence in the international racing arena since it moved to Kranji in 1999. It now ranks among the premier racecourses and boasts state-of-the-art technology, such as the patron entry system and a glass-sided horse walk, which goes through the grandstand and connects the parade ring to the racetracks.
Built for more than $500 million, the 200-acre (81-hectare) racecourse received a Recognition Award from the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for its 'whimsical’ design – including the El-Toro Zoysia grass track. Racing is conducted in the evening under spectacular floodlights on Fridays, and is held in the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays.
Your ticket includes a round-trip transfer and admission to the air-conditioned Owners' Lounge. This exclusive lounge, a fantastic upgrade from the grandstand, comes with many perks not found in general admission seating, including a full-service bar and restaurant. Take a seat at a selected table equipped with a personal television screen, where you’ll enjoy a close-up view of the races VIP-style! Revel in this casual racing experience as you sip drinks (own expense) and place your bets at private betting counters.
