Gives a totally different perspective of Singapore's night life, really enjoyed it.
We met Wina in Pagoda Street Mall next to the escalator from Chinatown MRT station. There were 15 people in our group on 16/08/2013. I had done this tour 2 years ago, expected it to be the same, but Food Street - Smith Street - was closed and only 2 red light establishment left in Chinatown so we walked through to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Club Street, where we boarded a bus and transferred to Gayling District where most of the red light establishments now reside. We stopped at a restaurant in Gayling to try Turtle Soup(from farmed turtles meat) and Crocodile Stew. Walking in Gayling is not something I would do on my own, glad we were on a tour, felt area is very rough. Dropped back at the Chinatown Tourist Centre at 9-15pm, make your own way back to your lodgings ore where ever you want to go. Very informative tour with lots of history and photo's of how life was when Chinatown was young. Highly recommend this and all the Original Singapore Walks tours. Much cheaper if booked with Viator than paying at start of tour direct to tour guide.
I really enjoyed this. Lots of history and stories. Not a bad amount of walking.
GREAT! Our guide was engaging and told stories of Singapore's current and historic 'red light' district. Interesting, especially as it is not a part of Singapore tourists would be aware of.
A great experience, full of info and fun would recomend as NOT TO BE MISSED
Our tour guide was fantastic and the small style walking tour was very personalized, well organized, extremely informative and lots of fun. A great 'behind the scenes' tour, just wished we had more time to have done more of these types of tours! Highly, highly recommended!
We found the tour very interesting to find out the dark history of Singapore. The tour guide was really good as well!

Excellent. Our tour guide was outstanding, and her knowledge of the town was unbelievable. She made the tour very interesting; it ran over time due to her enjoyment doing the job.
From the start of the tour in Chinatown you are met with a very happy tour guide. This wasn't as easy to spot and there was no name badge etc to make her stand out from the crowd, except she was standing still and not Asian! Everything is clearly stated, duration of time, locations to visit etc. The hardest thing is not to shop on the way! By the time you finish the tour, the stalls are all shut and you have to make a return visit. Not a hardship as Singapore's Chinatown is such a wonderful place to visit and with the education you receive from the lovely guide - on your return visit you will see it in a whole new light anyway!! I won't give to much away, just know it is most informative - delivered in a very tasteful way, the history, the hardships, the people - you gain a complete understanding of life and buildings used to be for the early arrivals to Singapore. There is so much to learn, you don't feel uncomfortable at anytime and 'The Dragon Lady' takes really good care of you. I would have to say it has been the best tour we have every been on, NOT ONE TO BE MISSED.
We loved this tour - was my favorite tour in Singapore. Learned a lot and was entertaining. Great guide!
This is indeed a very informative tour. The tour guide was very friendly and patient and had a great sense of humour. We thoroughly loved it.
This was a fun tour. Our guide was a knowledgeable guide and had lots of anecdotes to makes things interesting.
Fantastic, unique tour that only this company takes you on. We did a total of 4 walks and they were all great. You hear some amazing stories on this tour and walk through the red light district, which is very very interesting. It's one of the best tours we did in Singapore!
