The best tour we have done. Mike has to be the best tour guide we have had on any tour. Leaving Skagway to the Yukon was incredible. The information Mike gave us was fantastic. He had a wonderful personality and made the day so enjoyable.
We saw brown and black bears on the way and Mike stopped for some great pic's. Carcross was so interesting with may animals and a great museum.
Lunch was included and we ate outside in a wagon.
Emerald Lake is stunning, scenery at every turn. We went in late May and had fantastic weather.
So much to see and do on this tour.
It is a must do!!
We had a wonderful trip ! All stops were just amazing and picturesque. Our driver/guide Mike was a very jubilant person and was very helpful. Weather also helped us... Not too cold... Very little rain. Highly recommended!!!
This tour was one of the highlights of our Alaska vacation! And it was the most affordable. We saw 3 bears and beautiful scenery. Our guide/driver T-Bone Tyler was great. He was both informative and fun and you could tell he genuinely wanted us to have a good trip. After my husband mentioned I was disappointed about not being able to get my passport stamped at the airport in Canada, Tyler made a stop for me to get a stamp. In my opinion, this tour is a must-do in Skagway.
Our driver was excellent and it was a great day with good weather
Our guide Tyler T-Bone really made this excursion! He lives in the area so he was able to provide local knowledge throughout the trip. During each stop he offered to take photos for everyone. We booked the 8AM trip which I would highly recommend! We were ahead of all the large tour groups so we were the first to each stop! We were even able to catch a few bears along the way.
Tabitha was our tour guide. She had the friendliest disposition and was so knowledgeable about the area. She knew the best places to stop for pictures and was more than glad to take pictures of my husband and I. Beautiful scenery in a comfortable van. We saw a bear on the roadside eating and she actually turned the van around and we went back and sat and watched the black bear enjoy dandelions. A wonderful tour and well worth the time and money spent.

Absolutely amazing - especially the Yukon Canadian part - including the fabulous lunch and dog-farm with its impressive museum - really beautiful trip. Even better if you have guide and driver Brook she is fabulous !!! I would do it again and again! The best trip on out entire cruise holiday.
This tour was a good day out. The scenery was great, though the overcast day dampened things. Lunch was just ok, but the mounty museum and the wildlife centre was most interesting. The musher dogs were fascinating to watch and ride them if you wish at 30.....not for me!
Enjoyed this shore excursion very much. Mike the tour guide was very entertaining.
We did the Skagway Whitepass Tour as far as Emerald Lake by bus with Brooke as the driver/guide. Loved the scenery and the commentary was second to none. So personable and knowledgeable on the countries, customs, flowers, fauna, wildlife... We had a wonderful day...picked up on time Frontier Tours and dropped off at a choice of locations to suit us. The tour was booked through Viator with Frontier Tours directly and not through the cruise line on board ship. From the comments of other ship passengers, I would say we certainly got one of the best tours and at a significantly lower price than on the cruise line itself. Every stop on this tour created new memories.hated for it to end! Thanks Frontier Tours and Brooke.
We found th e tour to b e excellent. Our tour guide, Brooke, was a delight. We totally enjoyed the entire day.

We spent a lot of time deciding what to do with our day in Skagway and decided this tour was our best option, as we would get further and not be limited to the train tours. We made the right choice. This trip picked up from two ships with similar times and there is no need to worry at all about doing a shore excursion through Viator. We did all ours through them and can't fault a single one.
We were picked up by Tyler T-Bone off the ship. From the very start of our tour you could tell how much he loved Skagway and his sense of humour made for the best tour. He was informative, answered all questions and went out of his way to make sure we saw and did the best bits. We drove passed a lake, which we weren't due to stop at, but as it was a clear day with the water looking like a mirror, we had clouds and mountains reflected perfectly. He wanted us to see this and I have some stunning photos from that one stop.
He was watching out for stopped cars and mini buses by the side of the road, as this can mean a bear sighting. We saw one bear just sat there eating dandelions. A few miles down the road we got to see a Mum and 2 cubs. Because this trip is done in a mini bus, they don't scare the bears away and can change the tour to suit the day and what is out there. We were chatting to people who were on the big buses later in the day and they hadn't been so lucky.
We did a lot of photograph stops where Tyler would take photos of the couples. Anyone who goes on holiday as a couple is used to the single photo album, so it's nice to have photos of both of us with the most beautiful backgrounds I've ever seen.
This tour goes up to Carcross in the Yukon and you are out and about in the wild. Tyler was really good at restroom stops where he could to make the trip more comfortable for everyone. I have read a lot of reviews about no stops, but I can't fault out trip at all on that front.
This was the best trip we did.
Great tour guide. There were no short cuts. Guide stopped at every place of interest. Pick-up and drop-offs at beginning and end of the tour were easy to make. Viator hired a great local company for this tour. I've done viator tours in the past They were all excellent.
Awesome day! Wonderful tour guide - great job Brooke! BC, Yukon and Skagway Alska all in one day. Plus dog sledding! Great value!
Very good experience. Lots of fun. We saw bear and rainbow on the way. Yukon camp is a nice place for family fun.
Awesome excursion! Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable and funny with a great laid back attitude! This was one of the best excursions I have ever taken and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Skagway.
great trip, beautiful scenery and Mike, our guide, made the whole experience that much better. Very enjoyable and worthwhile
Great bus tour. Our driver/tour guide, Tyler, was great. Stopped often for pictures and had an excellent knowledge of the route. Great lunch in Carcross, YT. Talked to people who took the train and they were not happy that it did not go to Carcross. Got back to Skagway in lots of time to get on the ship. 2 hours
Our driver was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area. Really enjoyed the bus trip and learnt a lot about the area.
The guide was very knowledgable about the area as well as entertaining. Scenery spectacular and we even got to see a mama bear and her two cubs. I would highly recommend this tour
The view is amazing, and coach trip is much better than the train trip.
Awesome excursion. Guide Mike was knowledgable or at least believable haha. Have been highly recommending this tour to everyone
Best time in Skagway. Our tour guide John was quite knowledgeable of the area. He was so accommodating and made sure everyone in the bus had the best time. He stopped at all photo op areas and took our pictures instead of us taking selfies.
This was a great tour of the Yukon territory. We had a mini-bus and made 15-20 stops during the 6 hour trip. The longest stop was at CarCross, where we had a good BBQ chicken lunch and got to see sled dogs, horses, mountain goats, etc -- in a quasi-zoo. The scenary at the brief stops and along the way was breathtaking. It is a low impact not strenuous tour. Recommend you bring something to drink and eat while you are on the bus. The guide Marc, as usual, made this trip exceptional. He was funny and quick witted and loved his job. No question was out of bounds for this Skagway AK resident. Compared to on-board shore excursions this was about 30-40 less. I recommended my family take this when they go to Alaska
