From the port of Sorrento or Castellammare di Stabia, just 30 minutes up the coast, board a 259-person boat and settle in to begin your full-day cruise along the Gulf of Naples. Your boat is equipped with a large air-conditioned dining room, comfortable bar, bathrooms, showers and a spacious sun deck with lounge chairs to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey. You can buy food and drinks anytime on board or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant when you dock.
Soak up ocean views as you cruise along the gulf towards the island of Procida, where you’ll disembark around 11am and spend about an hour exploring, shopping or sightseeing at your leisure. The natural reserve of the nearby island of Vivara connects to Procida by a long bridge. Though the smallest island in the Bay of Naples, Procida is perhaps its best-kept secret, offering postcard-worthy vistas around every corner. Look up to see Castello d’Avalos, a hilltop 16th-century castle built by the Bourbons that served as a prison until the 1980s.
Back on board, head to the Bay of Chiaiolella, where you’re free to take an invigorating swim in the pristine waters before continuing to Ischia around 1:30pm.
The volcanic island of Ischia, surrounded by the Nettuno marine reserve, is the largest of the Phlegrean Islands, renowned throughout Europe for its thermal baths and fertile land. Spend time in the wonderful seaside town of Lacco Ameno, home to an 11th-century church and museum on prehistoric findings and ancient Greek ceramics. View Aragonese Castle and the 'Fungo' rock that stands at the entrance of the port.
Depart Ischia at 3pm to continue your cruise to Sant'Angelo, an ancient fishing village and now popular tourist destination due to its striking scenery. You’ll have the option to take a tender to shore for free time or remain on board to relax and savor the sea breeze.
At 4:30pm, you'll begin the 2-hour journey back to Sorrento — about 30 minutes longer for those continuing to Castellammare di Stabia.
