I came on this trip with my mum back in October and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, the guide was lovely and went well out of her way to advise us on things and show us extra bits around sorrento that she didn't have to at all. We were stuffed by the end i recommend you only have a tiny breakfast or none at all and go early! A lovely way to see Sorrento and excellent value for money.
It was a great activity. I would recommend this tour to everyone. Great food and lots of great information. Gives good insight on what the good restaurants are.
We had a great few hours eating, talking and walking. (This is my idea of heaven)
Tamara our guide was very knowledgeable about the food and drink in the area. I will now think of buffalo's listening to classic music whenever I eat buffalo mozzarella ! The mozzarella was amazing and nothing like shop bought cheese. We returned to several of the places but unfortunately I couldn't find Raki the place where we tasted the most splendid gelato flavoured with figs, almonds and laurel ...
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was so helpful and pleasant, she made this a great experience. The stops on the tour were well planned out, so we experienced a wide range of tastes. But the best part was our guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Tour was fab. Defo recommend this in first day of hols. Tamara was lovely. Full of knowledge and the food tastings were amazing
This was the best tour we had out of the 6 we did in Italy! Tamara is phenomenal and the food/drink we sampled was excellent. We lucked out and were the only two on the tour that day, so we had a private tour. Tamara is so knowledgeable and well planned. An incredible day!
Met up in central square of Sorrento with Tamara – we were the only 2 on the food tour, but would definitely recommend this. Tamara is exceptionally knowledgeable about Sorrento and Italy as a whole, the food, the wine, areas of interest and gave us a mini tour of Sorrento taking in some of the key sites and highlighting recommended restaurants. We started with a sweet canola in a pastry shop; followed by other stops at Da Franco (superb Saltimbocca), then tasting a range of limoncellos at the garden and factory; the deli experiencing ham, cheese, bread and beer, the restaurant with wine and a 2 course meal, then onto some fantastic ices at a superb gelateria. This 3 hour tour is brilliant value for money taking in the sights and tastes of Sorrento – thank you Tamara for a fab time – finished off our holiday a treat.
Tamara our guide was so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble make sure you arrive hungry!
An excellent tour, I cannot recommend this highly enough. We have done walking eating tours before but this one was the best for lots of reasons. The tour was so varied in where we went, what we had to eat and drink and what we saw. Tamara (our guide) brought everything to life for us with her knowledge and friendly personality. It is a great way to learn about Sorrento, where the locals eat and get some great tips on where to eat for the rest of your trip. Just one problem... we had a big breakfast before we went on this tour, big mistake! Come hungry as the second to the last stop is a sit down two courses at a restaurant! You will not be disappointed with this trip, well worth the money and just a fabulous thing to do.
Tamara was everything for our trip. We know it would not have been the same without her. It's all true about the tour. We really went to 8 places for this awesome food and beverage tour. It was also historic, mentioning the places we went (where they all we soo friendly) but the walk thru Sorrento, learning about the history was memorable. Thank you viator again!
Our cute guide TAMERA added so much, the 8 stops were all great and the side walking story telling added so much. You'll try the best of the best pastries, lemoncello , gelato, pasta and wine - would do it again and agin if time permitted.
It was the perfect introduction to Sorrento. We were just passing through en route to Ravello, but this tour made us wish that we had booked some nights in Sorrento. Tamara was very friendly, easy-going, and knew all about the food, restaurants, shops, and merchants of the town. We enjoyed samples of delectable specialties of all types -- so much that we were unable to finish off our proper lunch, try though we might. But more impressively we felt as if we had been given a glimpse into a delightful small-town community of friendly and skillful purveyors. I don't think it is too much to say that the tour made us feel as if we belonged in Sorrento. It was certainly one of the top highlights of our Italy trip. We want to go back!
WONDERFUL food walking tour of Sorrento! Highly recommended! Tamara was a wonderful guide who not only knew the food but knew the city and all the people who live there! She made some great recommendations for dinner and places to shop as well. The end of the tour we sat down and had a bottle of wine with some gnocchi and other tasty treats! 1000% worth it, we will be back!
Tamara was excellent and the food stops were varied and high quality. It's an interesting way to get a feel for the town that isn't strictly museums and churches.
