An Old Lighthouse
Before exploring the city, we were treated to this breathtaking view overlooking where the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea met.
Camel ride
This 'ship of the desert' was able to pick me up even though I am 6'3" and 240 lbs. He did groan a bit but he came through in the end.
The Casbah
An unusually serene view of one of the side streets. Normally they are packed with people from the tour and the locals. I couldn't get over how narrow the Casbah was until I realized it was made for horses/camels/donkeys and carts originally.
Snake Charmer
This guy charmed this cobra. I thought he would get stung for sure but he knew his stuff.
Apothecary
The tour stopped at an authentic restaurant, a rug store, and this old country apothecary which had several natural spices and medicines for sample and purchase. I bought some mint tea and it was terrific.
