the crew of the Lord Sheffield was top notch! this was the highlight of our entire trip :)
This was a fabulous find! From the moment we arrived on the pier to the final moments of our great day, the hospitality and professionalism were outstanding. Highly recommend it for families and those without! A special thank you to the three guides who made the day such a success. Kids want to do it all over again!!
Friendly and knowledgeable crew! The BBQ lunch was awesome, and the open bar had way more available than we thought! Snorkeling was great, too, with great sights and plenty of time to explore!
I arrived early at the dock, after a $2.00 taxi ride from the main gate to the dock. The staff from the dive shop met me and gave me a cold beer while I wait. 30minutes before we sailed the captain gave a safety briefing and loaded the supplies aboard. The rest of the passengers 7 total boarded and off we went. First we went over to a cove, where several passengers did some snorkeling. The crew had noodles and any other supplies needed for the sport. I did not participate but the others said they say a helicopter and a sunk-in ship. After several cocktails and conversation the hour had past and the snorkeling was over. We then began the trip out of the cove and the main sails were open. The speed seams fast but after getting off a big cruise ship it was refreshing. The crew served us fresh barbecue ribs chicken, , fresh cheese and fruit. Good food and rum punch and then it happen we sailed into a tropical rain and was drenched from head to toe. Laughing all the time, We kept referring to the Gilligan's three hour tour. 15 minutes gone and the rain had stopped we docked and tipped the crew, A short walk back to the main gate to drip dry and we were back at the the NCL Gem. I recommend this excursion for anyone young and old. The price is right, and worth the bounty, follow the JOLLY ROGER.
Had a lot of fun on board. Snorkeling was some of the best ever!!! Beer was cold, drinks were plentiful. food was great. Boat operator was very knowledgeable on the area. I highly recommend this to snorkel trip to even the novice snorkler. even to non swimmers. They have flotation gear for folks of all types and ages
My family and I have been to St Maarten many times and were a bit bored with the usual island driving tours. I was very fortunate to stumble across this tour online and thought I would give it a try. Boy am I glad I did. We were fortunate that we only had one other family with us so there was plenty of room to stretch out. The ship was great as was the crew. The sail up the coast was breath taking. The snorkling spot was alot of fun and the BBQ was delicious!!! I am so glad I stumbled onto this tour and my family and I will DEFINITELY do this tour again!!!
What a great time. Captain Rob was very informative. Annaleise was a peach. Thank you. Little confusion about where the boat was. Maybe you should just pick your passengers at the dock. We had a great time and would definatly recommend this excursion. Argh
Very relaxing sail. Captain and First Mate made us feel welcome and comfortable.
Disappointed they were not in pirate costume though. :-(
I enjoyed the ship navigators, the delicious food, as well as the plentiful beverages and hospitality. Snorkeling was fun, not too much to see. It was difficult to find where the Pirates Cruise was located and to get there. Few people on the island were familiar with it. I recommend the excursion
We didn't get to enjoy this excursion. The ship wasn't there. Reportedly, it sank in the storm event a couple of week earlier.
