we had a great time on the power boats and the diving at creole rock was beautiful. We spent our afternoon hanging out at the beach in Simpson Bay and eating at the bar and grill. That was amazing!
What a fantastic time! Loved driving and riding in our own boat! We had great snorkeling around creole rock. Our group had 4 boats following the larger lead boat. Only problem was that viator had the departure time as 10am and they actually leave at 9am. We were there 30minutes early and the other 6 people were waiting for us. Thankful that they didn't leave without us!
Awesome tome, awesome guide. If we ever go back to St Maarten we well definitely do it again.
This was a fun trek to the north side of the island with 1 beach stop and 1 snorkel site stop. They provide equipment and water. Boats are fast enough to be entertaining but not as responsive as a jetski. Overall it was the highlight of our trip.
The seat cushion needs to be a little thicker for the big waves.
This was the best shore excursion we have ever done. Great driving boat. Great snorkeling Fun
We had an awesome time on the boats and snorkeling! We had plenty of time on the mini boats and snorkeling. There were beautiful views of different parts of the island as we went on the boats and plenty of different types of fish (including an white eagle ray!) when we were snorkeling. The guide was really great - he even pulled out different sea creatures (urchins and starfish) from the bottom of the ocean and brought them up for us to view and hold. He passed out some refreshments before we headed back to shore which was really nice. One thing to watch out for, un-beknownst to the guide, they had overbooked our trip by one couple and didn't have the extra boat working/available (I know this books thru viator and cruise lines for the same tour). I would make sure you check-in with the desk across from the boats prior to coming down to check-in with the guide/get in your boat to ensure everything is all set, and get there 15 minutes early just in case these issues arise (though who knows how often they happen). Best excursion of our trip and the 10am tour isn't super early and gives you enough time to check out the rest of St. Maarten prior to returning to the ship. Enjoy!
Fantastic guide. He dove in with us and pointed out different sea creatures. He even used my camera to take a picture of an eel that was too deep for me to take.
Our tour guides name was Bobby and he was so passionate about snorkeling and protecting the environment. I have to tell you this was the best excursion and we will never forget the experience we had. It was a beautiful day, even when it rained briefly. The best part about it was that the cost for this excursion seemed too good to be true... but it was true! We rode the 2 seater boat for about 45, visited a beach (nude) to do some swimming, rode the boat a while longer and then went snorkeling for around an hour. We saw some beautiful fish and Bobby is an experienced diver so he was able to go down to the bottom and show us specimens. Again, we had so much fun and since the group we went out with was pretty small, (7 total) we got special attention and just had a fabulous day. I have no complaints, Only praise!
