It was wonderful. You could spend time with these magnificent creatures. If you were in the open water, it may take a half hour to see just one. Tour guide was excellent. Only regret, I couldn't touch them
The Shark Encounter was an awesome experience. The other exhibits in the park were very interesting. Very memorable!
excellent experience. i've dived with sharks before in a cage (hawaii). here the sharks are small and actually were more afraid of us then us from them. i didn't feel scared at all and entered the water tank easily. lots of sharks moved around us and even one too friendly stinga ray. the photos are amazing ! best excursion i've done on this trip.
If you have swimming with the sharks on your bucket list. This is the best way to do it. Our guide Jake made sure we were safe at all times, even with him nudging the stringray and sharks to move around the tank. There is no touching of the sharks or the stingray. It is eyes only and it was amazing.
The thought of swimming with sharks is terrifying, but the guide put me at ease. I learned quite a bit about sharks that I didn’t know before. This was a great experience.
We did both the Shark Swim and Sea Lion Excursion at Coral World - definitely time for both when on a cruise ship. This was a little daunting to begin with, but you quickly got comfortable with the sharks, knowing they are more scared of you than you are of them! I learned a lot about sharks, and that is the goal of this experience! Highly recommend...
Once we got to this neat little park, we were unable to participate in the shark activity. Though it doesn't say, there is a height requirement of 4 ft, 8 inches to participate and my son is considerably under that. However, the staff found an empty slot in the Sea Lion encounter schedule so we paid the difference for that experience -- and it was great. My son and I had Remo, the South African Sea Lion, all to ourselves for 30 minutes and for a modest payment also got more than 200 pictures of the encounter. It was an educational as well as entertaining experience for both of us.
Really enjoyed swimming with the sharks. Our tour guide " forgot her name :( " was very good.
This was a great excursion, but not exactly what we expected. We swam with infant sharks in a small tank, about 4' deep, and maybe 6' square. Almost all of the sharks were around 12" big, with the exception of two nurse sharks that seemed about 4' long, but they are nocturnal, so they were sleeping.
Total time was about 45 minutes. You will be in the tank with sharks for about 20 minutes. It was really cool being in the tank with the sharks. You are not swimming though, you are standing there watching them with a snorkel on. It's still exciting though because they do get close.
