Loved Stockholm. It takes about 45 minutes to walk into town from the cruise ship, but it is a pleasant walk with lots to see. The tour is very comprehensive showing you the old buildings, but also the newer ones, parks, house boats, etc. You then get on a canal boat - the timing was great - we just got off one and waited about 5 minutes for the other. Nice way to see the island. Just wish I had more time here, but this was a great overview.
We booked a 10am tour but when we arrived we were told that the tour didn't operate until 11am and that the time shown on our voucher was incorrect. Anyway so we didn't need to hang around for an hour and a half. The guide let us do a grand tour which was departing at 9.30am and didn't charge us any extra. We loved the city and would definitely return here. Also the cruise included was excellent.
This was a great way to see the town, and the tour by boat after the bus tour is a great and picturesque way to see Stockholm (I took most of my photos from the boat). Wonderful!
Great overview of the city - would defintiely recommend! The bus tour gave me some ideas of what I wanted to go back and see on foot (up close, spend more time at, etc.). Boat tour was nice, too; however, do bear in mind that if you plan to do an archipelage tour (outer city), it is a bit repetitive. But again - very useful! Wouldn't change anything.
It was the best way to see Stockholm, in a nutshell. I recommend this tour.
Quite satisfied - the boat tour after - I found no hand rails to get on the boat - someone to assist seniors get on and off would be appreciated
Short and a memorable trip, which gives a complete overview of Stockholm. I wish this was a bit longer covering Vass museum and other museums
Bus tour and boat trip give you the essential highlights of Stockholm.
