Q. How long is the Goteborg CityPass valid for?
A. The Göteborg Pass is valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time when you fill in your name, date and time.
The Children's Pass is valid for children aged 16 years and under accompanied by an adult. A maximum of 4 Children's Passes may be purchased with each adult Pass. Children under 5 years of age do not require a city Pass.

Casino Cosmopol

Göteborg's international casino is situated by the Port of Göteborg and offers all the classic casino games, with international rules and betting levels. Receive free admission with the CityPass. Open daily. AGE LIMIT IS 20 YEARS. VALID ID REQUIRED.
Elfsborg Fortress
Take a boat trip with Börjessons Restaurang and Utflyktsbåtar to the 17th century fortress. The guided boat tour takes about 30 minutes. This also includes a guided tour on the island. Daily departures from Lilla Bommen between 10 May to 31 August.
Göteborg Art Museum
Göteborg Art Museum has a unique collection of Nordic art including works by Albert Edelfelt, P S Krøyer, Carl Larsson, Bruno Liljefors, Edvard Munch and Anders Zorn.Stroll through five centuries and see works by Rembrandt, Rubens, Monet, Picasso and Chagall. Make sure you don't miss the museum's extensive collection of Göteborg colourists, and the contemporary art section featuring Nordic artists. Open from Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00am to 6:00pm, on Wednesday from 11:00am to 9:00pm and on Friday to Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
Göteborg City Museum
The museum is housed in the fine old Swedish East India Company building. Silver from the Viking Age, knights' swords, traces of the original Göteborg settlers, Chinese luxury goods, city architecture, industrial history and stage models are just some of the museum's exhibits. The exhibitions reflect local, western Swedish and general history from prehistoric times to the present day. Open from Tuesday to Sunday 10.00am-5:00pm, Wednesdays 10.00am-8:00pm. May to August daily from 10.00am-5:00pm

Packhuskajen
The world's largest floating ship museum moored at Packhuskajen in central Göteborg. Discover the tension inside the submarine, Nordkaparen. Experience the beauty of the Fladen lightship. Café and restaurant onboard. Open in March - Friday to Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm, April to May daily - 10:00am to 4:00pm, June to September daily - 10:00am to 4:00pm, November Friday to Sunday - 10:00am to 4:00pm.
GötheborgsUtkiken
GötheborgsUtkiken, 86 metres above sea level, offers a fantastic view of the city, harbour and archipelago. The café offers home-baked cakes, sandwiches and light lunches. Contact the tourist office for opening times.
Hothouses in the Botanical Gardens
Over 4000 plants from all over the world in temperature-controlled greenhouses. In the Tropical House visitors can experience the humid heat and greenery of the rainforest, while the striking grass tree grows in the Australia hothouse, also home to the gardens' unique collection of 1600 kinds of orchid. The flesh-eating plants are always an exciting feature, and the Cactus House has been given a dramatic new design. Open daily May to August from 10:00am to 5:00pm and from September to April from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Liseberg
There is something for everyone at Liseberg - whether you are after a thrill-packed ride, something good to eat and drink, or just want to enjoy the atmosphere, the scents and the countless flowers in the park. Welcome to the biggest entertainment park in the Nordic region. Open from 26 April to 12 October and from 18 November to 23 December.
Maritime Museum & Aquarium
The Maritime Museum takes you through 400 years of exciting seafaring history. Experience the life on board a sailing ship or the work on a fishing boat. The newly opened Fish Forum provides the latest information on the continuous fishing debate. Open Tuesday to Sunday 10.00am-5pm, Wednesdays 10.00am-8pm.
Museum of Medical History
Östra Hamngatan 11
The museum is located in the Oterdahlska building. The reconstructed hospital environments, like most of the objects in the museum, have ties to Göteborg and date from the late 18th century onwards. The museum is open to the general public and researchers. Open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:00am to 4:00pm, and on Thursday from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
Natural History Museum
Slottsskogen
Amazing collections of animals and plants from all over the world. The Malmska whale - the world's only stuffed blue whale - and the large African elephant are particularly famous. The exhibition includes birds, fish, insects, a magnificent dinosaur skeleton and much more. The smallest creatures are often shown in the form of enlarged models. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am-5pm
Paddan boats

The beautiful, fascinating harbour city of Göteborg has to be experienced from the water! And nothing could be more pleasant and relaxing than a tour on the famous Paddan boats. Step aboard in the city centre at Kungsportsbron. With the Goteborg CityPass you receive a free trip after 3:00pm. Parking
Park free of charge in the city with the Göteborg Pass (this applies only to borough council spaces). Fill in the P-card you receive with the Göteborg Pass and keep it clearly visible in the windscreen.
Ringlinen
All summer you can travel on a vintage tram through the streets of central Göteborg. If you're lucky you may get to travel in a 100-year-old carriage. Vintage carriages from 1900-1960 operate the Liseberg line. The vintage trams are operated by a non-profit association, the Ringlinien Vintage Tram Association, whose members renovate, maintain and staff the trams. Runs on Saturdays 26 April to 11 October from 11:00am-6:00pm, daily 1 July to 10 August from 11:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays 15 November to 20 December 11:00am-6:00pm
Röda Sten
Klippans cultural reserve
Röda Sten is an alternative stage for contemporary art, theatre, music and dance, a complement to the established cultural institutions in Göteborg.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12noon to 5:00pm and on Wednesday from 12 noon to 7:00pm.
Röhss Museum
Vasagatan 37-39
Sweden's only museum for design and handicrafts is holding temporary exhibitions for visitors interested in design, color and function. Exhibitions include "Historic China" with handicrafts dating from 2000 BC to the 20th century, 18 century furniture and objects for the set table. Open Tuesdays 12:00am-8:00pm, Wednesday to Friday 12:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 11:00am-5:00pm

Sightseeing by bus
Take a guided tour through beautiful Göteborg. The bus passes the most interesting sights worth seeing in the city. The guided tour takes approximately one hour, and departs from Stora Teatern. Sports Museum

The Sports Museum was established in 1983 and is run by the Friends of Sports Museums foundation. The museum is situated in Kviberg and has an Olympic Games room, a Hall of Fame and rooms for individual or team sports spread across two storeys. The museum also boasts an impressive library and a host of sports photos. The museum is adapted for disabled visitors.
Stena Line
50% off a Stena Line day return Göteborg-Fredrikshamn or Varberg-Grena, non-car passengers only. Offer applies daily from 1 January to 31 December. Tradgardsforeningen
The Horticultural Society park - a natural meeting place and Sweden's best-preserved 19th century park in the heart of Göteborg. Events, seminars and festivities all year round. Also home to Goteborg's Rosarium, internationally acclaimed and elected the centre for Sweden's Year of the Rose 2002 celebrations. Tradgardsforeningen Park is in the city center and has entrances on Södra Vägen and Drottningtorget (Kanalgatan). Opening hours may vary. An extra entrance fee of 50sek will be charged between 28 June to 28 September due to a garden exhibition.
Universeum

Universeum is Sweden's national science discovery centre. The centre has everything from sharks swimming in gigantic aquariums to tropical rainforests and fascinating technology. Not to mention masses of experiment stations where you can study the human body, space, colors and much more. Test, smell, feel, listen, see, hear and be amazed!
