This unique excursion will take you to Kriens, where you will take the cable-car, escorted by your guide, to Mt. Pilatus (7000ft / 2132m). At the top you can enjoy an unforgettable view over the surrounding mountains and lakes. Descend on the world's steepest cogwheel train, with a 48% gradient to Alpnachstad. From here, hop on a boat to enjoy an unforgettable ride on the picturesque Lake of the Four Cantons back to Lucerne where the tour will conclude.
During the tour you can choose to ride on the longest Toboggan Run in Switzerland (4500 ft/1.4 km). If you would like to take the ride, an additional fee is payable directly to the guide. It's great fun!
Cog-wheel train and boat ride start operating around May 17, depending on the snow conditions. You will be given a Swiss Cheese Raclette or Pilatus Rosti (potato dish) instead of the boat ride. Before that time, the Mt. Pilatus tour operates the same way as in winter - aerial cable car up and down.
