My friends and I had a fantastic time in the Blue Mountains. The view was awesome. We enjoyed an exceptional morning teatime & shopping at the quaint shops of Leura village. The view from Echo Point was to die for. We took several walks down the suggested paths and were rewarded with breathtaking sights. The accommodation at Lilianfels was equally exhilarating & we were luxuriously pampered & well taken care of. The next day, we had breath stopping experiences whilst taking more walks, enjoying the 3 scenic rides & taking more photos from the two lookouts along the way. We had a delightful time getting up close & personal with the kangaroos, emus, kookaburas & even the koala. Our tour guide was well acquainted with all the places visited, entertaining & educating us with the history & stories and myths behind each place or encounter for the two days.
We enjoyed our trip to the Blue Mountains and our trip to the Wildlife Park, but were quite unimpressed with the transfer to the hotel. The hotel itself is wonderful, and was probably the best place we stayed in during our time in Australia.
The trip and the sites were excellent. We very much enjoyed the trip commentary. Our main reservation was the pick-up which took 50 minutes and the drop-off. We were dropped off at the river and were told the river boat would be coming by in 5 minutes - it was 45 minutes later.
