What You Can Expect
Along with an entry ticket to Taronga Zoo, one of Sydney’s most popular attractions, your pass includes a ride on the zoo’s Sky Safari cable car, as well as the National Parks fees for your visits to Shark Island and Fort Denison in the middle of Sydney Harbour. You'll also get a round-trip ride to the beach suburb of Manly by fast ferry, where you can spend the day at the beach, browse the shops or enjoy lunch by the water. No trip to Sydney is complete without a trip to Manly by ferry!
While you cruise Sydney Harbour, listen to the live commentary providing fun facts and information on the harbor and its geography. You’ll also hear interesting historical and cultural facts about one of the world’s most beautiful harbor cities.
We loved the hop on hop off ferry. The Taronga Zoo was an added bonus. Highly recommend for getting around the popular areas of Sydney.
The hop-on hop-off idea worked really well, with unlimited trips possible between Darling Harbour and Circular Quay, two important tourist centres, and great views of the Bridge (you go under it) and the Opera House. There is a tour-guide on the boat giving the history of what you're looking at.
You need a timetable as the boats are not that frequent and finish quite early. We really enjoyed the zoo (world-class), with the ride up and down in the cable car included. We didn't go on the fast boat out to Manly in the end, as we had too many other things to do back in the city, (and the sort of things on offer there we had already done elsewhere), so probably didn't get our money's worth from a 3-Day pass, but it was still helpful to have the option as a fallback.
