Our guide, Cliff, was great! He provided great info on the animals we were going to see and helped us find the animals we wanted to see the most. We got to see kangaroos, emu, wallabies, wombats and, most importantly, a platypus! I would definitely do this tour again!
When I think of the best tour I had while in Australia and New Zealand for 3 weeks, this would be it. Cliff is the
man that effected these results. He is very intelligent and knowledgable and also objective at the same time.
We saw everything as they say below. I would like to hire Cliff to take us on a month tour of Australia. He
was very easy to get along with. THAT GUY!!!!!!!!!!! My highlight was, well everything, but I loved spotting
the roos at night and chasing the wombats down their holes night. Nooooooooooooooo they will not hurt you. I was the only woman who got out of the 4 wheel at night to chase down everything. You must get out
to experience them! They come out at night. The roos are on the other side of a fence so if you think they
will attack you, they can't. He stopped at a little town, for a bit of shopping at some great shops, and we
had dinner at a wonderful pub.. We truely had an "Australian Experience" thanks to Cliff.
Excellent. One of the highlights. Cliff our guide was very passionate and couldn't of been more helpful. His commentary was very formative. We saw koala, platypus, wombats, kangaroos. All in the wild. Really felt like being in the close to nature. I would definitely recommend this trip and hopefully you would get cliff to be your guide.
Excellent tour. Our guide/driver, Cliff, was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond the call of duty to find the wildlife promised - emus, wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, even platypus! Only saw 1 koala, but 1 in the wild is worth a dozen in a zoo. If you have any interest in seeing Australian wildlife in its natural habitat, I highly recommend this tour.
Wonderful day trip with enough time to enjoy spotting and watching the animals in a small group and a tour guide who will try to respond to all your questions in a passionate and knowledgable way. We had enough stops on the way and a great dinner in a historic pub. I enjoyed every minute of the trip and recommend it to anyone who likes animals and nature. Just be aware that spotting all mentioned animals is not a guarantee. We were lucky and saw them all. My pick up was perfectly on time. Any delays are just due to attendees showing up late.
Fantastic trip to Emu Valley in Canyonleigh. We saw ALL the big 5--Kangaroos, Wombats, a Koala with her roo on her back and a platypus--plus parrots, cockatoos, a huge lace monitor on the prowl, and a bush-tailed possum. Our guide (Cliff) did all he could to help make our expedition a true adventure!
For the nature and wildlife lover this is the tour for you! The ability to experience Australia at it's finest. To see the different animals in their own environment is just incredible. Your guide will take you on a hike and ride of a lifetime through the bush. We saw various animals such as: owls, platypus, various species of birds including cockatoos, 3 different types of kangaroos, wombats, echidna, emu, fox and rabbits just to name a few. Watching the animals in the wild is just an experience that one can't express in words, you need to experience it to understand. The guides are very knowledgeable providing you fascinating history of the wildlife in Australia and information about the various animals.
Small group with a great tour guide. If ya wanna experience the wild life of the Australian outback, you've to book this tour! We've got lot of informations about wombats, kangaroos, koalas, etc. Highlight of the tour: watching wombats and kangaroos by night. Dinner was fine, too.
A very good tour guide who knew his history and the animals very well. Would have preferred to have gone further into the outback but I guess that would have meant a day or two on the road. Saw a platypus!
Although the tour was supposed to pick me up from my hotel - they did so 40 minutes late. I know this was not the driver's fault specifically - as I heard from other passengers on the trip that one lady was running late, and called the company and asked them to wait for her, while she finished eating her lunch, and went back to her hotel to change her outfit etc. In accommodating her, I just sat waiting, for over an hour, because I was sure to be ready to be picked up 15 minutes early, as requested by the tour company. Throughout the entire tour, this "guest" kept making special requests - stop here so I can take a picture, I don't want to go there, etc. The poor driver was trying to keep her happy, but in the process, annoyed everyone else on the trip - me included. I believe it was because of her requests that we were late getting to dinner, and therefore didn't get much of a night time tour. Dinner was late. After dinner, there were a couple on our tour that said they wanted to get home as early as possible as they had an early rise the next day, so instead of getting home by 11, as the tour requested, I was home by 10ish. I feel as though I really go ripped off on the tour - which is really sad, as it was the tour I was most looking forward to on my whole holiday. I would not recommended the company or the tour based on these reasons. People book with expectations of what they read. If it goes until 11 pm, people should expect that. If it has a pick up time, and you miss it, the bus should go without you - we are all paying adults. Some lessons need to be learned the hard way.
