Useful Information
The Blue Mountains
Continuing on, you'll head through the northern section of the Blue Mountains National Park, stopping at a number of spots for short walks and to enjoy the stunning views of these remote regions and learn about the flora. Enjoy a delicious morning tea at Bilpin (if option selected) before continuing through Hartley Vale -- keep a look out for kangaroos grazing in the pastoral areas.
Lunch is in the heart of the Blue Mountains at the Katoomba Golf Club where you will enjoy a 2-course meal (if option selected), or your guide will take you to Scenic World, where there is buffet or cafe lunch to choose from (at your own expense).
After lunch you will visit Scenic World, where you can ride the Scenic Rail, the world’s steepest incline rail. The 415m descent will take you through a cliff side tunnel down into an ancient rain forest. From here, you are free to explore the Scenic Walkway which will guide you through the forest to the Scenic Cableway platform. Take the gondola for spectacular views of the Three Sisters and the rain forest.
The final stop of the day is the new Koomurri Aboriginal Centre where you will see a corroboree (traditional dance) performed and have time to explore the art and artifacts on display before returning to Sydney where your tour concludes.
Please note: Scenic Rail and Scenic Cableway are at your own expense and not included in the price of the tour. The Scenic Railway will be closed for maintenance from January 14, to March 29, 2013. The Cableway and Skyway will still be operating as usual.
