This tour is for anyone who would like information on wine grown in Hunter Valley. I had never been to a wine tasting. Our host was amazingly knowledgable and polite. He drove us to a winery where we learned so much about wine! The animals and the wine and the food were absolutely perfect!
Comfortable van, on time schedule , very funny and knowledgeable guide. On the way back to Sydney, 2:30 hours on the road is a killer because of trAffic. Overall very good.
The Australia Reptile Park was a really special experience...and they had many animals other than reptiles too! The koala and kangaroos were adorable and friendly. The spider exhibit was also very cool. The winery tours were great we went to one boutique winery and one larger winery and lunch was excellent. I highly recommend this tour! Excellent value for the price.
Tyler was outstanding and gave us the perfect amount of attention and time to do each wine tasting and also very friendly. He gave us much info about Australia that we could never have gained on our own. Plus, being from the U.S., we did not feel comfortable driving in Australia. The wildlife park was a definite highlight of our whole trip and will not be forgotten! Wine tasting was substantial with a great lunch at the end. We just wish we could buy these wines here in the states!
I loved the freindly staff at Mount Veiw, the wines were delicous and the views were amazing. I enjoyed visiting the reptile park, But I must say, the thing that made this tour the best was our super friendly, smart and charming tour guide, Rapheal Pall. He was the absolute best!!
we had a good day the wineries very good and the wine very very good
If you like food and wine then this is a great tour for you! Although I didn't find a lot of wines that I absolutely loved, the experience was amazing. It was really well paced and the food was delicious!! Hunter valley is a beautiful place!
We did this the second day of our trip and met some really fun people. Paul was our tour guide and was very funny. The first winery had the most beautiful views and ambiance and we ended the day with a wonderful lunch. Couldn't have been better!
From start to finish this was an excellent tour. Our guide kept us entertained with the perfect mix of local facts/information and personal opinions/experiences. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves wine, cheese and chocolate!
Really enjoyed this small group trip to Hunter valley. Our guide Scott was very knowledgable and because we visited smaller wineries it was much more personal . The animal park on the way was good because we got to go in before it officially opened. The only down side was the weather as it poured with rain but luckily not until after the animal park
Amazing trip. John our guide was very knowledgeable. The stop to see koalas and kangaroo made us feel like we were kids again. The cheese, wine, food and chocolate were perfect! Thank you Viator!
We had a small mini bus with c 15 people on the trip. So not too big, not to small a group. Our driver was really knowledgable and added a lot to the experience with his insightful observations, commentary. My wife particularly enjoyed the Reptile Park, as she loved feeding kangaroos and stroking the koala's. Two vineyards, a cheese shop and a chocolate shop; plus a lunch (good) with another set of four wines. Overall, a 10 hour day, but thoroughly enjoyable. Worthwhile.
There were only 3 of us so it was as private of a tour as possible. Great guide, GREAT tastings :). We even saw a group of wild kangourous!
Fantastic tour and great day out! Our guide was fun and full of knowledge about the places we visited, and every part of the tour was just wonderful. You are driven around in a really nice van with free wifi and water. The first stop, at the Reptile Park is misnamed as you get so much more than just reptiles - you can meet and pet a koala, hand-feed kangaroos, pet a snake and the best part - you get there before the park even opens to the general public and other tour groups! And it only gets better during the second part of the tour. Lots of great wine tastings at the some of the smaller, more intimate wineries in Hunter Valley with your small group, so it doesn't feel rushed or like you aren't learning anything about the wines. I highly recommend this tour if you want a nice day out wine tasting without the big groups of people, and little hint of luxury.
This tour was not what I expected. It was better! The guide was great and knowledgeable. Being such a small group tour is was a more personal experience which I really enjoyed. The Visit to the Reptile Park was such a great and different aspect to the tour. I loved that you could actually hand feed the Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus. This experience was incredible. The wineries we went to were beautiful and our hosts were really great with everyone in the group.
Great to be in a small group! This is an excellent tour. We enjoyed it very much!
Great tour - a good mix of wilderness and wine. Mac the tour guide was superb and took great care of us.
Great day out. Guide was very knowledgeable and kept us interested and entertained throughout the day. A good selection of wines to try and enjoyable lunch. Much better as a small group tour. Have been on large tours of this type and the variety on offer was minimal. Use of cool box on board for any purchases you make.

phil was awesome! wine was awesome! lunch was awesome! he should be prime minister!
This was a wonderful tour that helped acquaint me with the wines of Hunter Valley. The tour guide/van driver picked me up at the appointed time at my hotel and was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide for the entire 9 hour trip to several wineries, wild animal park and a delightful lunch.
This was very enjoyable, and our tour guide was excellent. There were only two couples on the tour, and it wasn't cancelled due to the small group, for which we were thankful. We saw the beautiful country and tasted excellent wine and cheese. The meal was okay. We didn't care that much for the food, but that was personal taste. We also learned a lot about Australia and the area.
