If you are in Sydney with the Opera is playing, please don't miss this! The performance was a stunning mix of a moving story , stunning backdrop the Sydney Harbor , great colors and performance and a beautiful evening!!
it was and unforgettable unique experience. The music, the venue were first rate.
Wonderful location. The set was impressive. We really enjoyed the outdoor dining prior to the show. The cast was very talented.

This was wonderful. Loved the amazing set, the Sydney Harbour background, and of course the immensely talented cast. Not even a rain shower could dampen everyone's enthusiasm, instead there was much hilarity involved with all the audience donning the free plastic capes. Of course, the cast didn't miss a beat through it all. Highly recommend this event.
This was the highlight of my day in Sydney--magnificent--thanks for suggesting it--a once in a lifetime treat
one would assume that going to the opera in Sydney Aus. would naturally mean going to the Sydney Opera House; not so, but the best thing is seeing a great opera on the water with a view of both the opera house and the bridge...spectacular experience!
Fantastic evening, the production was amazing, the venue very well organised. Added to all that the weather was extremely good.
Last night's performance was sensational! With such an amazing surrounding and a set built-up at perfection, the atmosphere was truly mind-blowing! Everything worked out wonderfully: costumes and choreography were delightful, and the power and harmony of the Orchestra and the singing made it a superb experience. A must-see show for entertainment lovers!
Carmen was absolutely amazing! If you have the opportunity to go see it, I highly recommend it. Not only is the opera itself fantastic - the singers and costumes were spot on, but the location is unbeatable - a beautiful opera back-dropped by the beautiful Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House! Not to be missed!
Brilliant concept. Brilliant setting. Brilliant performance. 5 stars
Bought for my husband and his Mum who was visiting. They found the whole experience wonderful and the performance outstanding. Just wish I had been able to go!
The evening was utterly enchanting.
I was delighted to see such a range of people coming to the opera - some beautifully 'dressed up' and others in their jeans and casual gear. Wonderful way to introduce people to opera and a glorious way to display Sydney's breath-taking night vista.
Music and cast , as expected, were simply a delight.
In all, very special night.
Fantastic! What a 'once in a lifetime' experience! The setting, the performance, the weather was just amazing. So glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it. Once again, Viator made the booking process so easy for me, highly recommend them.
It was our first experience watching an opera show. Being chinese watching chinese opera show was a bit awkward though the show was really good putting aside the difference in interpretation. The fireworks was a bonus. We really like Liu a lot. She totally stole the show! I wont say it's a must do in Sydney but if you were gonna watch an opera show in opera house why not watching it outdoor with harbour bridge and opera house as background, plus the fireworks? Hope you enjoy the show!
The only negative was that, even after emailing you, you could not give us seat numbers for the Aida performance. As I booked for five others, they all wanted to know where we were sitting but I could not tell them more than the section number. The performance itself was wonderful.
We had a wonderful evening at the Opera. You can take the water taxi beside the Sydney Opera House to the venue AUD10 one way. The wind was very strong and we were chilled to the bone, so bring jackets. Unfortunately, during the start of the 2nd half, it started to rain. We had to leave since we did not bring ponchos with us. However, we still enjoyed the opera and we had a good time.
I opted for category B seats and was placed just off centre to the right, halfway up the seating arrangement. At one point the stage lifts up and all view of the performers was blocked during a great song. I was gutted. However the show as a whole was great.
