Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Sydney Opera House Guided Walking Tour. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
This tour was very interesting and informative! We really enjoyed it.
You must be able to climb about 200 stairs in order to see the Opera House to the fullest.
Very interesting and informative about the history and architecture.
Great tour with a fantastic Guide. Worth every cent. Get the photos. Its a little book rather than just a photo. really well done.!
The guide, Daniel, was excellent, very intelligent , knowledgeable and eager to answer any question. The place is amazing. It was a wonderful experience, thank you!
This is a must tour to take if you are in Sydney. So much information was given by the guide. We were able to go to areas that not everyone could go to. Be prepared to walk a lot of stairs.
Fantastic tour with a great guide and a fairly small group. Visit to the Joan Sutherland theatre enhanced by witnessing the ballet rehearsal. Fantastic souvenir brochure also a must purchase with photos taken on the day inserted into all the famous opera views
Excellent group tour given by an employee of the Sydney Opera House. By purchasing this tour online through Viator, we received it at a discount. It was the same tour given by the Opera House to the general public at 1/2 hour intervals. Exchanging the Viator Voucher for a ticket at the regular ticket window was seamless.
Very informative tour guide very knowledgeable willing to answer questions. Was able to take pictures in all areas of oprea house previous reviews said you couldn't in certain areas. Well worth seeing inside
Amanda our local guide from opera house was amazing. The tour was informative and Amanda has great sense of humor.. Was really a delightful guided tour with her.5 pm tour is one of the best timing.highly recommended
My 2nd time around and Rick's first; a blowy, windy, rainy day; but it is so beautiful and awe inspiring; the docent was very nice and very kind to us; lots of steps; but a wonderful experience again- but it was very
difficult to find out where we would get tickets to change from via tour's sheet of paper we had; that was a
great problem and in future; just buy the ticket yourself and find out where the box office for tickets is located.
While in Sydney in September 2014, I chose to take this tour a week earlier than booked through Viator. The group ticket office at the Opera House had no problem changing the date.
You're not told about the number of stairs until you're on the tour. However, you are given the option of getting a refund. I stayed on the tour with the guide, Amanda after discussing an alternate option.
The pride that Amanda shows in the facility is obvious, and the tour is worth taking. First you're shown a short film about the construction of the Opera House then after seeing a playhouse for Shakespeare productions and the concert hall, you see another film about the architect before the tour ends.
There are no pictures allowed inside the playhouse or the concert hall. That's a shame, because the inlaid wood and walls are a big WOW! factor.
