This tour provides a wonderful experience meeting Australian animals in a way not usually available to visitors. Being able to have your photo with kolas and feeding kangaroos were undoubtably highlights of the tour.
Vanessa, our guide was able to share here deep knowledge and passion gained as a keeper at the zoo and is a great communicator. I will definitely bring other overseas visitors in the future. Thanks Vanessa and Taronga Zoo.
A great experience to visit the beautifully located zoo including the very interesting 'behind the scenes' tour.
It was pouring rain the entire time and our guide did a fabulous job of showing us as much as possible in spite of the bad weather. She was very knowledgeable and had great stories to tell about all of the animals. The kangaroos were so pitiful under the trees in the rain- they had no desire to come visit us, but it was still cool to get so close. We did get to pet a kangaroo and an echidna. The koala was shy at first but finally came down and we got some great pictures with him. You can't touch or hold the koala and one member of our group was really upset about that. If you stop to think about how many people come through the zoo and take these tours you can understand that it would stress the animals out too much. You still get really close and the pictures are fantastic. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it. Hope you have good weather but be prepared if you don't- bring an umbrella, rain jacket, and sensible shoes.
This was a FABULOUS experience! Behind the scenes allowed us to see things that others could never see - and learn how much goes into making the Zoo a very special place to keep our world alive for all of us!
The tour was great...we got close to and had a chance to feed lots of animals. The koala bears were my wife's favorite! The views of Sydney from the zoo are terrific!
Very nice zoo experience. Well worth the money for the Wild Australia Experience for the chance to go behind the scenes and meet the animals.
This was a great tour. You got to be up close to koalas, pet and feed wallabies, echidnas, bilbies and kangaroos. It was extremely informative and enjoyable.
Absolutely get th Wild Australua Experience. We had 2 hours with a zoo keeper all to ourselves. Great Stories and entry to otherwise unacessable areas .
Great up close and personal tour. We got to feed wallabies and touch a lot of animals. Very personable guide.
The zoo was like no other zoo. Got to see all the animals up close and going behind the scene was very interesting! I would suggest this to anybody who is planning on going to the zoo.
