This tour was everything I expected and more, I would like to thank Oz Whale Watching for an informative and enjoyable day. Cassie (on board marine biologist) was very knowledgeable about the Whales in Sydney Harbour as well as other sea life and birds. We got to see 2 humpback whales ( a mother and a baby) breaching
Food was excellent and crew did a fantastic job maneuvering around the ocean to find a whale. Not only did they find a whale, we saw 2 and actually got to see one jump! The team spotted the whale spouts in the distance and they used caution and precision to get closer to the whales and we found ourselves right next to one of them. We had one pop up right beside the boat where we were standing on the outside on the deck so we were less than 3 feet from it. It was so exhilarating to be that close to the whales and to watch them pop-up all around us. Excellent job on making this a excursion to remember!
The staffs service was excellent and the whale guide is really knowledgeable about the humpbacks. They were really patience in locating the whales and most importantly, they respected the whales presence and the ecology of the Marine life. We encounter another whale watching cruise boat and when they spotted the whales, they just happily charged towards them. With that kind of stupidity, the whales went naturally underwater. Thanks to our operators knowledge and patience, we had a big bonus of the whales coming so close to the boat! It had been a real privileged interacting with the whales. We even had a couple of common dolphins that jumped up right beside the boat. The experience was amazing! I highly recommend them!
I have always wanted to see whales in the wild but as a zoologist, I don't want to disturb these magnificent animals more than we need to. Oz Whale Watching tours is definitely an eco-friendly tour and respecting the whales in their environment is their number one priority. We went out on a Sunday afternoon, enjoyed a tasty lunch but I was literally glued to the water, desperate to see a fin, tail or plume. I was rewarded by being the first to spot the tail! We only saw one whale that day but the commentary was great (even to the subtle criticism of the other, more invasive boats!) and I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Fantastic, entertaining and informative. Great day out on the water, excellent whale sightings, best we have ever experienced. Thanks guys for a top day.
This was awesome! Whale watching was on my bucket list, and we were excited to see several whales. The food was good and the guide was very knowledgable. It was a great tour and I would definitely go again!!
Sadly, the whales didn't show up but still a great tour. It was lovely just to sit on deck and relax. We were so excited to see the Opera House and sail under the Sydney Harbour Bridge - I have seen these sites many times on TV but to actually experience it was awesome.
Great lunch and we managed to see what's right at the very end!
Enjoyed it a lot, the lunch was a bit average but you get that
The trip was just a beautiful day with an interesting and quirky commentary even if the whales were not highly cooperative / Who needs work.
Had a good trip but whales too far away to see, could only see distant sprays. Excellent commentry though
Lunch was good and it was a beautiful day on the water it was a long time before a whale was sited but we did see a water spurt and a tail very briefly before returning to shore still worth The day out
Sadly the weather beat us (very high winds) and the trip was cancelled , the operator contacted us asap so we had time to rearange our day . We had no time left to rebook so we will have to visit Sydney again soon !!
