What You Can Expect

Sydney’s Tall Ship Sailing Adventure on James Craig

James Craig Sailing Adventure

Make your own way to Pyrmont to board the James Craig for your 4- or 6-hour tall ship sailing tour.

Set sail on the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour, passing top sites such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison and Shark Island as your captain shares informative commentary about these landmarks. You'll also hear tales about the much-loved ship, a classic square-rigger that was originally built in the late 19th century to carry cargo on the world's major ocean trade routes.

Cruise past Australia’s oldest fishing village, Watsons Bay, then venture out of the mouth of the harbor at Sydney Heads to sail on the open ocean. Watch the ship's crew set the sails and feel free to lend a hand if you'd like to participate in sailing the tall ship. Alternatively, sit back and soak up the gorgeous scenery of Sydney Harbour and the Pacific Ocean before returning to Pyrmont at the end of your tour.

Your cruise includes morning and afternoon tea, and a tasty picnic lunch, all served on your vessel while under sail. Additional drinks are available for purchase from the onboard bar.

This was one of the highlights of our time in Australia. We were offered Dramamine, but didn't think we'd need, it so we passed. Next time we'll take it! The crew was amazing and the musicians added to the atmosphere. Passengers could participate as little or as much in the ship's activities as they wanted.
