A view of the coastal scenery taken from a small lookout on our walk along Janshia Street, Jiufen. We were in a narrow alleyway with small stores on either side which, unexpectedly, opened onto a small lookout area with incredible views of the coast.

On our way along what our tour guide described as 'the main street in Jiufen'. There were numerous small shops of interest and, as well as making several purchases, we also visited a tea house that specialised in ice desserts.
