Excellent guide, excellent choice of stops.

Great fun, except we wished to spend a bit longer time at the National Palace Museum. There is so much to see--all the treasures. Can cut down temple visit.

Great day of sights. For those going to Taiwan you need at least a full half day to do the National Palace Museum alone.

I would have liked some free time at the Memorial Hall.

Tour was nice, though the souvenir shop stop was tacky and a waste of time!

A bit difficult to do everything in 1/2 day but we saw the main things and also places that I would never have found or even known about on my own like the Farmers's Shrine. Guide was good. One participant seemed to think we didn't have enough time at each place but there was enough time to decide if it was worth trying to make time to go back for a better look - Ok if you have that freedom but maybe not so good if you only have 1/2 day. Souvenir shop seemed a bit more pricey than the official Handcraft Center and had a smaller selection of things and more pushy staff and we had to go there on every tour.

The Taipei city tour was very informative and visited some of the must see sights of the city.

It was definitely worth paying a travel service to drive you around and explain the history of the city. Very cheap too. The travel service turned up at my hotel on time and were professional. The English of the tour guide was very good.
The only thing I didn't like was the mandatory trip to the souvenir shop at the end of the day where the shopkeepers follow you around the store. I ended up buying a jade pendant for 800NTD which I later saw in the airport duty free shop for 580NTD. Other than that, I would highly recommend this trip to anybody.
A very good summarized tour of the city with its highlighted features.

The tour bus takes you around the city and you get to see many historical buildings as well as a Taoist temple. It ends at a museum, where the tour group gives you a quick run through of the historical items there. You have the option of staying at the museum, which I unfortunately didn't do and now regret.

We didn't need the time at the craft shop, could be easily replaced by another tour stop!! I realize conducting a tour becomes a grind after awhile but nothing replaces the enthusiasm of a youngster.

It would be better to do the sights of Taipei yourself. The guide was not too good, and the actual inclusions were basic. None of the museum headphones worked, so I heard very little of anything said. Also, the fact that on two tours we were subjected to the tourist shop was unbearable. The shop assistants there clung to us like glue the whole time trying infuriatingly to force us to buy something, and then walked off muttering and miserable when we didn't.
